My nose is terrible, but the other two tracks are good if you like trap stuff. I'm feeling this even more, but I don't think I should be lol:

"Swerve" was the only track I really cared all that much for off of it. I think his original stuff works very well in sets/mixes but doesn't really do much for me alone. Pretty damn short too.

MartyParty has to be my guilty pleasure of the year. This is high-brow brostep basically, my god I am ashamed. But fuck it is so good!

It is not as wub wub heavy as the intro

Its actually more glitch than wub. I was mistaken. Stay Away from Magnets isnt that bad.

Nevermind, I hit the wub.

Theres just too much going on in some of those tracks, which is my main complaint about dubstep. I hate that kitchen sink approach.

Kind of superfluous, but have you guys been to any of these places?

http://news.beatport.com/blog/2012/11/12/the-10-best-soundsystems-in-america/

Q here in Seattle is indeed pretty fantastic. Can't wait for the French Express show there at the end of the month.

I went to Smart Bar at least twice a month for a while when I lived in Chicago. Was just at Cielo to see Francis Harris on Friday and I can indeed vouch for the sound quality. Absolutely one of the best dance floors I've ever been on.

Aww, I need to throw some Baauer love in here.

I think his music is very dumb, fun, and its focused on those two things. The style he's been using so far isn't something that can lend itself to longer songs (no buildups, breaks, codas, etc), so he chops the songs down to the bare minimum. I really dig the recent ep. Itll be interesting to see where he expands too, genre/style wise.

I hate boiler room mixes since the mc always talks and talks and talks
Hahaha. It's mostly to stop people ripping songs for YouTube but I guess you don't get Mcs in the USA so you wouldn't be used to them.
Really good ones add to a set rather than take away.

Isn't this mixed by OTT?

Anyway, not enough psytrance/psybient on this thread.

Check this out: http://www.mixcloud.com/ziptnf/ziptnf-cloud-travel-dreamy-downtempopsychill/ - my friend from TA makes a lot of great psy-themed mixes.

Ahhh... time to ramp the energy wayyyy back. Close your eyes and expand your consciousness. Explore the clouds, listening to the strings, pianos, and beautiful melodies, letting your mind drift up through the stratosphere and into space. Enjoy your journey :)

Haha, TBH I'd settle for basically anything 4/4 but all you guys have gone wacky on me ;) It's all good though. There's a lot of stuff I wouldn't have found by proxy if it weren't for the left-of-centre stuff that was in this thread!

I'll check out those tracks when I'm not behind a work firewall, okno. Love your stuff <3

Isn't he gone from Major Lazer?
Then wouldn't it just be Diplo? I thought Switch was still there... at least, I hadn't heard of him leaving.

Fake edit: Totally wrong. Which is probably good, I absolutely loved the stuff that Switch did on his own (and with some collabs) but his work with ML, whilst good, didn't really seem like a good fit for him.

Major Lazer is a musical project by DJ/Producer Diplo. Formerly a collaboration along with DJ/Producer Switch, they parted ways in late 2011 and Diplo has begun producing Moombahton, a surging fusion genre of dubstep, reggae, and dancehall.

Switch - I Still Love You
Futureheads - Worry About it Later (Switch remix)
Switch - A Bit Patchy (Tate Re-rub) (I absolutely fucking adore this track <3)
