Suerte said:One thing, since it's an american DS and I live in the UK, would it be ok to buy a GBA SP UK AC adaptor and use it with the DS to recharge the battery?

mrklaw said:Yes. I can also recommend the USB chargers that lik-sang etc do. Charges your SP/DS from your PC (very good when you are at work)
Although if its your first import ever, its almost tradition to buy a step down transformer
Now I just need to decide... Mario or Feel the Magic? Decisions, decisions...

Mario has some pretty good mini games by all accounts, and Made in Wario is the king of all minigames (you played either of the previous ones?). They seem the pick of the crop to me.
Suerte said:Never played Made in Ware, but I've owned Mario 64 in the past (N64 launch day in the UK infact!) but I haven't played it for years! I might get Mario and a GBA game, maybe Minish Cap?
mrklaw said:Oh. My. God.
You have to play made in Wario. you can have my tilty Japanese one for £15 if you like.
I also recommend Minish Cap. Great Zelda game, and GBA games are supposed to look great on the DS. Also has good music for those lovely stereo speakers...
I want a Sonic Advance game too, but they're so expensive in the UK, any import site suggestions?

Haha. I am lucky enough to still have my Mario 64 strategy guide from back in the day. Of course they've added a few new stars to each level, as well as Bowser's three levels and a ton of hidden ones scattered around the castle. I seriously am having a blast. I can't pull myself off this little system. It's so easy to get swept away for hours and not give a shit about the real world around you.Buggy Loop said:Im having such a hard time with it, last time i played mario 64 was back when n64 was released, i dont remember 95% of the stuff and how to get some of the stars, im at 15 right now, unlocked mario and i cant figure out how to get the others. /cries

. I'd say its a little too big for my pocket so I bought a case, protective screen stickers and a car adapter. Overall postive experience so far.

:lol This is my predicament too. I was going to get a couple of other games here soon with my DS, like FFI+II, but I think it would be better just for me to wait and actually have something to come up with for Christmas. Mr. Driller is really tempting me though.Suerte said:Ordered Mario DS tonight, I was going to get a GBA game as well but I figure, I could just ask for one of them for Christmas since I don't really have any other ideas about what to ask for Christmas apart from money and clothes.

edit: it would appear a lot of the prices on ebay for newly added DS's have been cranked a littlebut you can still see the odd one for 190 buy it now.. 50 bucks more than retail in the states, but if your only alterntaive is buying from sold out import stores..
king zell said:well I pre-ordered mine from Nov 9th.. and I only paid £130 for the system+SM64DS
so I'd rather wait than to but it now for £190.. when the Japanese version is released PA will start filling more orders.. so I'm counting on that
all good though - i'd be more inclined to wait like you are, but i'm actually going on hols on the 7th december and i wantit for the hideous plane ride

Vandiger said:More playtime with this excellent handheld. I can now officially chuck my worthless gba maybe get some store credit for it. I was pretty harsh on Nintendo with thier idea of creating another platform but this DS is great. I love playing my gba games on it and first DS title I bought is pretty good(Mario DS). Great speakers and the screen is nice. My only regret is I didn't pick up Feel the Magic or Metroid cause it was sold out :\. I don't really know how well it will do against PSP but this really is a great piece of hardware and satisfied on this purchase based on my impressions.

. I did like the demo thats why I regret it wasn't available.
. I did like the demo thats why I regret it wasn't available.Okay. I'm at 129 Stars and it's getting fucking hard. The only few left to obtain are just three or so 100 Coin stars and some on Bowser's levels. I'm so close. Anyone know what happens once you get all the stars? Same ol' deal from the original? Or some extra content? This game is seriously like crack. My girlfriend got to 265 on "Wanted". I was playing Mario Golf for a long time while she was just plowing away at it. Now she wants me to get her one but in a different color. Come next year her wish will be my command.Vandiger said:I thought Metroid was gonna be a launch title, just found out its coming out next year. Thank god I got my overdraft extended though, there's TOO much that I need to get for the DS/GBAI want a Sonic Advance game too, but they're so expensive in the UK, any import site suggestions?

thats all you need to know. Average GBA game price £21
Unfortunately, GBA games use an older memory technology which is considerably more expensive than the one used for DS media. Unless they can find a way to use 3DM in GBA carts I wouldn't count on prices dropping anytime soon.Suerte said:have Nintendo mentioned anything about dropping the price of GBA games now that the DS is out? :\
