The Official SPIKE VIDEO GAME AWARDS Show Thread

How fucking old is everyone in Motely Crew anyhow? 45-ish?

You know, I used to be a fan of theirs. When I was 11.

Seriously, why are they on?

Uh-oh... Motley Crue time.

"Girls Girls Girls"... natch.

Whoa... Vince Neil slimmed down...

This could have been worse... but it's actually get guitars in it. I'll take it.

"And the winner of the Best Supporting Actor Oscar.... Michael Keene!"
"Psst... that's Michael Caine."
"No, the card says Michael Keene..."

Okay, maybe the GTA2 thing isn't THAT bad, but it's still wrong.

Yay time for the washed up band who wanted to make some quick $$$

Can you believe that they're actually touring?

Oh, no... WTF is Snoop doing? NOOOOOO!!!!!!!

NOOOOOOO!!!!!!

Stop it! You're ruining my childhood, you bastard! Shut the hell up!

yea its bad. It isn't even the second on on the PS2, its the 3rd. What an ass.

It would be one thing if he said PoP2, but for GTA, that is just plain sad.

Snoop's ganja must have gotten into the AC and everyone's high. The last 15 minutes of the show will be everyone on the ground in the fetal position laughing.

GET OFF THE STAGE, SNOOP. YOUR RAP IS NOT NEEDED WITH ROCK!

I'm never playing another Motley Crue song at my gigs EVER again. I hope Vince Neil suffers a stroke.

I'm so totally pissed off right now.

...FUCK.

I stopped watching a few moments ago it was so bad. But to the show's credit, the guy who accepted the reward for Bungie looked PISSED.

At least it's over for him, until next year, mwahahahaha.

that was the most hilarious piece of shit I've ever seen.

Yeah... until Regis falls asleep while covering for Dick Clark in New York on New Year's Eve and Ashlee Simpson screws up another lip-synching job in LA.

I wasn't watching. Last year's show made me want to stab my eyes out with a stylus, and I am sure this year's show is no different. Could you please elaborate?

This show was a bit corny, but I was glad to see Sam Jackson win that best male actor thing. He rox in GTA:SA.

Edit: Belfast, check yer pm

This show is like an insult to gamers. Anyone find it funny how they stock the audience full of hot girls who have probably never touched a game in their lives, then constantly flash the camera to show them screaming.

:lol :lol :lol @ reactions in this thread!

Oh and I would seriously do MR.

You can tell the one guy from Bungie who happened to show up (he probably drew the short straw in the company pool for who goes) was pretty pissed at the whole chrade.

No, Marty always seems to want to go to these.

Hip-hop artists performed one hour and forty-five minutes of loud music. The remaining fifteen minutes, they blurted out badly scripted, uninformed TelePrompTer garbage about video games. Hot chix, lotsa laffs.

The first 10 minutes of the show felt like a BET/MTV awards show or something. All rap music and perfomances. I almost forgot I was watching a video game awards show

Not to mention it was friggin hilarious, although not intentional comedy...or was it?

wow, and Spike TV has the best hookups EVAR! I mean that one d00d on stage had a PSP, and going by what he said I bet no one on this board could ever get one as early as Spike TV could... or so they made the average gamer to believe. Pfft.

Hey they got the handheld game right! Awesome.
I don't think so. The voters must've checked the wrong box in some Florida style election debacle, or Spike must've mispelled Astro Boy on the card.
