Absolutely true facts here, and I would go a step further and say that it's time for Matt Booty to go. All those talented studios and so little to show for it? Its shameful. MS needs to clean house.
Nothing about Matt Booty's resume really impresses me. 343 has been an absolute embarrassment in terms of their inefficiency. Phil Spencer needs to shoulder most of the blame. He is the GUY.

MS now owns so many big franchises that they should be assigning other studios to work on games like Fallout, Doom, Elder Scrolls, etc. MS should be able to setup a rotation so that you get a new game from those franchises every 3-4 years. None of the games have to re-invent the wheel, but if they can make them fun and true to their roots it would be HUGE.

Something that didn't get talked about, was Avowed. That game had the potential to be MS ace-in-hole, but instead we find out that it is stuck in development hell. That story is too goddamn par for the course.

Giving established IP to dev teams that have never worked on that IP before seems like an extremely stupid idea to me. If I want an Elder Scrolls game experience, I don't want anyone other than Bethesda working on it. The last two Doom titles have been amazing, why would Microsoft give the franchise to another one of their studios? It makes absolutely no sense.

Also, is the news about Avowed being in development hell just another Twitter/forum rumor or confirmed by reliable sources?

1. I'm likely blocked by all of them
2. Regular developers don't know what higher ups know. We've seen this happen many times.

Well the employees know their deadlines. I guessing that’s how they know where they are in development. Plus I’m sure they also seen the game to a certain degree.

It's interesting to think about, but I wonder if there are so many people involved in a particular game's development that if you gave a game to another studio it would make a difference. Nintendo even farmed out some Zelda games to Capcom that reviewed well enough.

I'm personally of the opinion that Microsoft's problems with releasing games will come to an end in a year or two and at that point they'll be delivering stuff regularly. But on the other hand, I regularly wonder what the fuck 343 industries are doing and why something hasn't been done, it's not just the cost of running the studio to consider it's that they could have put out more games and made more money. Having 343 in charge of Halo has been very expensive, financially and reputationally.

This is why I'm a little concerned about MS giving Perfect Dark and Fable to studios with no prior history with those games.

Eh, if they'd given Perfect Dark to Rare, would the same guys even be there? Would anyone want a game that's anything like the original?

I'm interested to see a spy shooter, but I have no interest in playing a game from 20 years ago.

That's a little different because Lionhead Studio and the OG Rare team no longer exist. I was alluding more to scenarios where the dev teams that have made their names managing a certain IP are still around, but busy on other projects.

The studios may not exist, but there are certainly ex-employees from those studios that MS can hire to work on these projects.

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
It's so sad that thiese claims holds the same weight as "Bloodborne is getting a 60 fps patch" :(

You know, that shit just feels like someone at Sony being incredibly vindictive.

They *MUST* know how people have been asking for YEARS for BB to get ANY kind of update, whether its PS4 Pro, a PC port, and now a PS5 patch.

Ignoring it all this time just seems like deliberate dick move.

It’s annoying but at this point I’m thinking that they plan to release Bloodborne Remake and one of the features to sell it is 60fps, just like Demon’s Souls.

Malaysia lol, we are in the future now
Lol please don’t spoil what’s happening then!😋

Here in Sweden I’ve just put my youngest one in bed the 29th of June, about to start my gaming session soon. In the US I think it’s still mid day June 29th. Makes me wonder, where’s ”The Snitch” located? 🧐

They must be waiting for Bloodborne 2 or something.

Sounds like it's coming from really high up then. I guess they already have a date on when they will release the information. Whether it's a release date for this year or the next.

It's good that he's aware of the situation.
Kudos to Cory for even addressing this. Some other devs/directors wouldn't even bother to concern ramblings on when we'll get release date and such information.

Cory really has a hard-on for Mandalorian. Talks about needs-to-happen game, gifs...
We were more or less told "probably on 30th" by insiders, but this doesn't inspire confidence. Anyway, we know game's coming, so it's not like it is very important or interesting.
