The Order 1886 Gamescom Gameplay Trailer

This trailer is probably the best they've done so far. Feeling a lot more positive about it today then i was at E3.

It looks like i might really enjoy this game.. cool :)

So like everyone who posts "woah great graphics" or "30FPS is great" sounds like a pull-string toy? People who prefer 60FPS need to voice their opinion, even if it is repetitive. It's the only chance marketing depts. are listening.

But whenever I see your name appear clowns start dancing in my head, because I know what you're about to say. If I'm a marketing department you lost me by being so repetitive.

In fact, if I made a game I'd make it 30fps just to annoy you.

30 fps on The Order where gameplay is an afterthough to the story is fine with me. Bloodborne on the other hand is the one that has the questionable framerate where the gameplay is very important.

In the trailer Tesla mentioned that "the weapons I created could also be our greatest downfall" while showing the order crushing rebels with his creation. I am wondering how the relationship is going to playout between rebels and half-breeds, maybe forging an allience due to mutual benefits? Consider the order was the oppressor to both factions.

I can see a temporary alliance born out of desperation. But the half breeds consider humans as an inferior race and it seems unlikely that this relationship could be anything long standing (if it exists in the first place). May be the half breeds' motivation is the rebels' ability to smuggle weapons. Must be easer to make friends with factory workers if you aren't a blood thirsty werewolf

Crow serving incoming. Man, I'm looking forward to E3.

Yes the Order is going to serve up a sizable helping of crow once it releases. The little bit of Uncharted 4 we have seen is almost on Par with the Orders fidelity and at 60 fps so that should be very interesting to watch unfold. The reason behind the word seemingly is the new footage we have seen of the Order in my opinion blows that small segment out of the water. The cathedral scene is the absolute best in game fidelity I have ever seen on anything. If anyone can surpass this games visuals it is Naughty Dog but as of now the best looking game is the Order hands down.

How can you do this to me? Just take my words and use them against me. :(

I disagree. The Order looks just as good, if not better IMHO. But we've only seen very little of UC4 so far. So let's see.

No way! You really think so? The density of the vegetation, the lighting, Drake's facial detail and animation. That Uncharted 4 trailer was WILD. So wild intact that I won't believe they've got that kind of visual fidelity running at 60 until I see it. But hey another year of dev time, who knows.

Just like there was a noticeable gap between cut scene and gameplay in previous ND games so there will be in U4, i don't see any other scenario.

And their reveals before were always presented with a short in-engine cut scene, Drake waking up in a busted train in U2, or walking around the desert after his plane crash, or Ellie and Joel fight some infected in TLoU's reveal- all of those were in-engine, TLoU reveal even had the same exact MSG of "This footage was recorded on PS3" thing.

The difference is that the cutscenes will be real time in Uncharted 4, not prerendered like they were in ND's previous games.

We got confirmation if it was because an unfinished build the bulletsponge enemies that didn't reacted to being shot nor killed?

Yep, a pretty big departure from their old days. Anyone else think they're shifting to real time cutscenes in order to save disc space? Prerendered videos propably takes a lot of space and due to higher quality assets they need all the space they can get.

It sounds like the guy playing was trying to kill them with the gas pellets from the thermite rifle.

I'm sure that's a major factor.

Haha this looks fun. The Order being James Bondish, Tesla playing the role of Q. I like! Also, that atmosphere is great.

Just no. 30fps is more than acceptable.

More than acceptable? What are you talking about, 30fps is bare minimum.

Had to be done M8.

I'm inclined to agree with him the order looks pretty ridiculous this is one of the worst pics I could get and it still looks great. As an aside the object you see in front of Galahad was destroyed in the shoot out.

This scene however is just dumb and is better than anything I have seen outside of mods on PC.

Lastly I just like this one because it shows a much more open combat space.

If this has a photomode I'll never actually finish it.

That new trailer looks amazing. The Order, by far, is my most anticipated upcoming PS4 exclusive and it looks like it will be more than worth the wait. :)

People coming into a few threads with posts saying "great graphics" is not nearly the same as you going into nearly every thread and complaining about 30 fps. I don't praise the graphics of every game, but it seems like your only input for 30 fps games is "eww 30 fps slideshow unplayable unacceptable last gen I've been playing 60 for treats etc etc etc." It gets a bit old, and it makes you extremely predictable as a poster. When I see your name, I instantly know a dig at framerate is coming.

We all know your opinion, and if your only input to all these threads is that you hate 30 fps, then are you really adding to the conversation? The devs aren't suddenly going to change the framerate, and you often derail threads (like right now). Maybe add some variety?

He literally never posts about anything other than 60fps. I've never seen him even talk about playing a game.

Visually the new trailer looked really impressive, like the most impressive visuals I have seen in gameplay, although I really, really like the way Tomorrow's Children looks. Still, I would like to see some unbroken gameplay with some narrative context to get an idea of how the game will flow.

Fixed that for you :) 30fps is definitely enjoyable for select third person action adventure games. Uncharted Trilogy was such a sublime experience and it was 30!

I thought so, too, but the direct comparison between the same game TLOU easily gives (with perfect vsync and all) makes 30 feel terrible. I never had such a strong reaction when I switched between different games with different framerates. Heck,I thought the rock-solid 30 fps from Black Flag was good enough when I played it just before TLOU.

I guess I will be able to cope with 30 for The Order, but no drops, please. Seriously, sub-30 dtops are icky.

I don have twitter, so if anyone could tweet one of the vocal RAD employees about the abscence of the soft-body phyics it would be appreciated.

I have a feeling they've ditched it and hoping people forget. This was the feature that drew me in and if it's gone then my hype will deflate massively.

Artstyle is breathtaking, graphics are grat, everything looks good so far. 30FPS however is so lastgen and a huge disappointment.

Are you going to do this in every damn The Order: 1886 and DRIVECLUB thread here on Neogaf?
Doesn't matter which topic is being discussed regarding The Order: 1886, or DRIVECLUB, Thrakier shows and tells us how shitty the 30FPS here are and how disappointed he is.
Believe me, after your 39048930843849083489 post...... we finally got it. You don't like 30FPS. Move on.

Hit detection felt off, aiming felt really weird in general. Hope it gets fixed.
Nah! Aiming felt great, imo :)
Only the hit detection was not polished enough.
But it makes sense, because the game releases in 10 months.
Will be fixed as we speak, I guess.

I had the same reaction myself. I felt that 30fps made joels animations look horrible and I have never had a problem with a solid 30fps before.

Between QB and 1886, I'm not sure who's bringing the best graphics to the table, but in terms of gameplay, it looks like they're neck and neck in a race to the middle. I imagine that both games are going to have to bank hard on their respective stories and characters.

QB looks good, but I'd say the Order has a lot better attention to detail
