The Order 1886 Gamescom Gameplay Trailer

Thanks for posting this and as I suspected it is the exact same demo from E3. Shit still looks absolutely amazing it also seems like a very early introductory section. This like the Last of Us seems like a game that needs to be played on harder levels to get the best experience out of it. Cannot wait to see more especially the stealth section they snuck into the newest trailer.

Quantum Break looks very very good but the Order absolutely looks leagues ahead of it visually. The order looks so good to the point where I am not sure I will believe it is running on PS4 hardware until I have it running in my PS4. Look at the Video posted on this page that IQ is staggering.

Yea had to look at it again this is more along the lines of Infamous SS and I am not sure it looks better than Infamous.

The order however

Infamous is definitely more colourful but QB looks good

Anyone know if The Order will have a Photo mode? D:
It better. I hope Sony makes it standard for all their first party titles, because they all look so damn good. Free marketing etc. I swear my harddrive is just going to end up being full of pictures and nothing else by next year.

The trailer just confirms this to be the best looking game shown till date, takes the crown from God of War III,though Bloodborne,DriveClub and Uncharted 4 could be better looking when they're released.

bloodborne no sorry, it can't compete with the order in this world and in any other dimension, not with from software. Sorry.

Bloodbourne? heck no.

Engine from order is much more advanced, producing the image quality that is truly in the almost-CGI range. Go download the HQ Bloodbourne trailer from Gamersyde, and prepare your eyeballs for extreme aliasing and pixel shimmer.

On the other hand, RAD managed even to eliminate specular aliasing that was present in E3 [and earlier] code. Now that is dedication to great IQ!

I mean I don't want it to be forced upon devs but it is nice to see.

I've been a bit out of the loop on this one. Are they actually forcing the cinema feel with the black bars on top and bottom or was that just for the trailer?

Quantum Break looks good. Though after watching the trailer it looked rough at parts (explosions looked really bad in a few spots, animations were ehhh). That said it isn't supposed to be out until holiday 2015 if I understand correctly, so that's fine.

The Order 1886 significantly better in the graphics and animation department. I haven't seen a game yet that competes with how it looks.

Really hard to get clear pictures of this segment but this is what I want to know more about. They show him shooting an enemy from afar with the crossbow then he sneaks up on this guy covers his mouth and stabs him in the chest. Just noticed the crossbow is still on his back in the pics as well.

God forbid you would keep up with gaming news when you're posting on a gaming community forum.

well I got shit on for not knowing it was a cover shooter even though I implied I didn't keep up with the news in my OP:

Was kinda interested in this months ago, but now I see it's a muddy cover shooter, I don't care much.

lol they literally could've made any genre with a game starring Telsa

I just really hope they iron out the framerate. Hoping for a solid 30fps since they have till February.

Yeah the clothes changes depending on the scenario. Graphically though, that's how the game will look when you're playing the game

No, i mean that same clothes in old video is less "accessoried", i see difference in the belt, it's different !

The Order: 1886 Is Incredibly Terrible So Far

A disclaimer: no I did not play the full game, and no the final product is not out. Obviously it is not good to judge a title permanently until the final product (Watch Dogs) and it is good not to follow unwarranted hype either due to fancy CG/Real-Game footage trailers. From what I have seen and played of Sony Computer Entertainment’s The Order: 1886 – it is a beautiful game. Vastly and intensely beautiful in its vistas and landscape and the character detail is stunning. But ironically, the beauty is only surface-deep. The action is begrudgingly terrible/lackluster and the linear a-to-b-to-c game mechanic combined with duck and cover shooting reminiscent of the 2006 military science-fiction title Gears of War that was actually incredible for its time makes me seriously ask one question: what the hell is Sony Computer Entertainment smoking in their offices? Did no one in marketing even think: “Wow…this game is incredibly repetitive in terms of its mechanics and it’s hardly varied in terms of doing anything new or fresh.”

As if Beyond Two Souls: Beyond Garbage was not bad enough, Sony Computer Entertainment had to slate another obnoxiously terrible title that only serves to impress those deluded by its visuals and lackluster gameplay of button mashing melee and shooting mechanics. Yes, the Neo-Victorian London scape has been unexplored and largely remains so from the small maps as I have seen, and the cutscenes are beautiful but the characters lack any depth and The Order itself is an utter joke – leaving more to be desired in their band of merry coat-wearing amateurs running around causing more damage than a Werewolf in the game.

At the end of the day, I remain completely and utterly unimpressed by what Sony has shown me so far. Yes, I will not win any fans in Sony’s marketing department for this article (as if I really care), but that is not what it is about. It is about me being able to write the truth out there so some poor kid may not get too excited and spend his hard-earned $65 on a PS4 game that ends up being a huge mistake. Right now, The Order: 1886 looks to be nothing more than a rental and a rather lackluster rental at that. But again, I remain very careful and at bay with The Order: 1886. We will have a review out on it after 1 week of release, and I cannot wait for it to prove me wrong. But somehow, I seriously doubt it.

Wow.

Shinobi do you know something about changes about clothes ? Because the clothes in the beginning of the video in someway are different from the same clothes from old footage seen til now.
The characters change their uniforms in certain sequences in the story, really.

Never heard of the site and doubt the guys credibility. Some of the things he talks about aren't even in the demo, Eg Werewolf combat and button mashing melee. Sounds like he's just trying to stir the pot.

yep. So far the only playable demo avaliable for this game is the thermite rifle VS. reble one

Tis the difference in a studio that focuses on gameplay and one that focuses on graphics.

I wonder which will be the better game. :)

This. He talks about playing sections that haven't been made playable. Fake clickbait article from a no name site. I always wonder why people feel the need to spread these sorts of articles around.

yeah i understand this but i see changes in same old suits already showed in old footage, like the first trailer from e3 2013. I suppose that they are improving the detail of the clothes ?

from software is incapable to focus on graphics because they simply can't compete with nd or rad on a technical level. From a gameplay perspective they do good games, yes undoubtedly.

Pretty stupid comment to make when you have zero knowledge of either development program. Criticism shouldn't be fabricated. PEACE.

Is pretty obvious what each studios are focusing on.

RAD:

Talks about graphics, how "cinematic" the game is, visual and story is higher ranked than gameplay, etc.

From:

Talks about gameplay and how it is similar/differs from Demon's Souls, how they are tweaking the gameplay from previous games to make it more accessible or harder, etc.

People talk about The Order's graphics, image quality, and how good it looks. People talk about Bloodborne's gameplay and how difficult and fun it will be.

Look at the trailers released for each game. The Order was announced one year ago and yet it barely has more gameplay trailers than Bloodborne. And this is subjective but The Order's gameplay looks so generic as if it were an afterthought.

Because they can't or because they choose not to? From Software is a Japanese studio. Japan doesn't care about graphics as much as Westerners do.
