The game hasn't eve launch yet let us play it.
There's a good number of people posting things about what they have played so far...
...but sure. No rush.

Is it just me or did everyone RAD just go dark with media, twitter ect ect

It's pretty obvious from the reviews that the main shortcomings are length, gameplay variety, overuse of QTEs and pacing problems. Also the story apparently lacks a satisfying conclusion.
I wonder, do journalists and/or professional reviewers in other mediums behave this way?

Yeah, Ru, Andrea and the RAD Twitter haven't posted anything since the embargo broke. I don't blame them, I wouldn't want to see shit like what those Kotaku folks were tweetingIs it just me or did everyone RAD just go dark with media, twitter ect ect

It's exactly what should be occurring right now. Nothing good can come from commenting on reviews. Is it just me or did everyone RAD just go dark with media, twitter ect ect

I't's a good decision.
Do you mean this?Weren't rad the ones that said gameplay comes second?
I swear to God one of them said something like that.
CVG: So of the three key aspects of a game - visuals, gameplay and story - which would you say was your priority with The Order 1886?
RAD: I think story and visuals are very high. Gameplay is something that... it's a game, we make games, we can't get around it. We love games, but we also love telling stories, so I think story is always going to be at the top because it's what we start with. It's at the top of the pyramid and everything else supports that. I think it'd be more challenging to make a game for the gameplay's sake, then try to make a story that fits in there.

I think so too. I hate it when developers start getting defensive over reviews (e.g. Dyack, Eggebrecht).
Do you guys think we'll see DLC for this game? Infamous SS, Killzone SF and Driveclub have had good DLC support. Perhaps this game gets one extra level or some sort of horde co-op mode.

Nah, that's crazy talk. Where's the vision, NotTheGuyYouKill?

yeah, I remember something similiar.
However, it's probably the best to rest for a bit, catch a breath and try their absolute best with in the sequel or other project.
I am not waiting for a damn thing.Remember guys - even if you like the game despite bad reviews, drive club had the same situation and it was $35 at best buy and amazon within 60 days..
Good things come to those who wait!
Don't things change big time if they announce a free 5 hour DLC expansion?

This is usually reserved for 12 year olds on youtube comments, but holy shit.
So immature. These people get paid for talking.
Shame about the reviews, but game "journalists" have been worthless for the most part since last generation.
I will judge for myself when I get it.
I have found my tastes differ more often than not from the metacritic.

As much as I find the initial one in a bit of poor taste, as this is one of those games that I can see making a turn around in the sequel, that vine one got a good chuckle out of me.

Stuff like this is why I'd rather read GAF impressions than reviews.
It's just really unprofessional.
Right. Can we quit quoting that terrible twitter conversation? No need to give those people any more attention.
"Video game journalism"
This reflects a hubris and entitlement that's severely misplaced. It's frustrating to the point of distracting. Just as someone else has said, a lot of people worked really hard on this game--a lot of folks who likely had to work overtime and who have families and feelings and debts, etc. Do we give it a free pass because of that? Do we owe these people anything? Of course not.
But do we permit "professionals" to bully so they can have some twitter "street cred"? It's a free country, free speech--yes, but this is just shameful. And it will be lost in the media-storm and acknowledged by a few folks and continue.
I have no investment in this game, no intention to play it until much later when the media maelstrom quiets down, but I needed to get this off my chest, even if it is in one post on a thread moving at light-speed on a forum that's among the most active in the world.
tl;dr: Some people's children, man. Some people's children.
