I don't use twitter much, so maybe this is a dumb to say, but uh...can't you just use a browser/device that isn't logged in to check someone's tweets?

Gies blocked me too (why I have no idea as I am a delightful individual) but I can still search for him and see all his tweets. They just don't appear in my feed.

I guess you could do that, but then I'd be forced to write a reply to every one of his tweets and that's just too much for one human to shoulder. It's better this way.

What is there to live down? I was eventually going to get one, and this way my wife and I get a good prank box out of it too. It was worth it.

Some of these reactions make me think new listeners might need a small bit of clarification:

The Christmas intro song is a now four-year tradition. It's not, you know, a regular occurrence. Don't worry. :)
 
If you guys start letting the listeners vote on which songs you guys should cover next Christmas -- and you shouldn't because half of the fun is starting the podcast wondering which Kristmas Klassic you guys will butcher -- I've got my vote squarely on Mariah Carey's "All I want for Christmas is you." I know Phil is capable of doing dat Mariah whistle.

Catch one in a net while you have an empty bottle in your inventory. Then you get the option to keep it. The nice thing is the fairy will revive you automatically at that point even if you haven't got the bottle equipped.
 
You guys should definitely give hero mode a shot then. It does eventually become easy again after you have enough heart containers and tunic upgrades, but it has Zelda 1 like difficulty until you hit that point.
 
For some reason I do remember a time maybe a year or so ago when my eyes were glazing over due to mobile game talk, but with CJs insider perspective of the business and development of those things and Mike's (and Phil's and Greg's, too) willingness to give anything an honest try, I think there could probably be a bit more mobile game talk (read: not [AS] shilling :P) without a listener revolt.

I've been listening to some older eps (around 170-180) and it's really funny listening to everyone dismiss the iPad/mobile gaming. Not that I didn't at the time as well (just the iPad, not iPhone games) but considering how impactful tablets have been everyone but CJ sounds silly in hindsight.

Also I enjoy mobile gaming talk. I bought a 3DS but playing it made me realize that for the most part I prefer gaming on my phone.
 
I tried this podcast after it was mentioned on 8-4 and it is alright except for the kind of baffling choice of recording while there are little kids in the room constantly making noise.

Can they not get an hour away from their kids to record? I believe this has been in multiple episodes.

Considering three out of the four have very young children - and they all have jobs and wives - the fact this show comes out every week is amazing. I find the kids in the background charming actually. Of course, I have a 6 year old too. So there's that.

Same. Might be because I have a lot of nieces and nephews.
