Hating something because it's just made from flash is a horrible form of opinion.

Sure, but MLP's use of Flash is pretty poor and transparent. Nothing like the work of love that was SuperJail S1.

i disagree. i think flash works perfectly for MLP because of the bright and vibrant colors. it makes perfect sense to allow for a low budget tool like flash to be used compared to say traditional hand animation.

As for SuperJail... yeah such a great show. so completely and utterly bat shit crazy. and good.

I have no problem with the visual style, it's just the lack of key-framed animation and abuse of tweening that bothers me.

Pandaman? Complexshado? Akira? There are more people than just 2th posting gifs and pics. I do agree that labeling it the new OT is hypebole but there are people just saying "fuck it" in this thread, because thats what this thread is, just a load of fuck.
I saw panda do a few replies with pictures to clarify that weird pandaman spoof. I don't know abou thte other two's posts. And I mean in the amount of pictures, like 2th has, which is what that point was about.

Superjail S1 was flash? Wow, I thought it was hand drawn. That's pretty good.

oy you, I'll have you know that the picture I posted was completely awesome. And it was in relevant response to this thread. The weirdies and the haters are the ones coming in here posting pictures of monkeyballs and other strange and ugly stuff. And this thread was a load of fuck by page 2 of dumbasses coming in here, smirking and asking why Applejack doesn't taste like apples.

No it isn't. Liking or not liking something does not make something better or worse.
If you are saying that the act of disliking something doesn't make it better or worse, you are correct. If you are saying anything else, you're stupid as hell.

It's okay.

So will some authority come and take my mancard away now or do I have to turn it in myself?
No, nothing happens. You don't even have to register as a brony; I didn't.

This whole trend is incredibly embarrassing for those involved but I don't really see the point in ragging on them all the time. It's sort of like the only reason a cult was born from this show was because people just hopped on the bandwagon of liking this show as a joke. I guess some people stayed in character for so long to the point where the "bronies" formed. I've seen like three episodes of this show and it is nothing special. It is just another kids show really. I really never thought I would ever actually meet bronies outside of the internet but I did a couple weeks ago. I would describe them as manchildren.

Why is this one of the most polarizing shows of all time? People seem to either love it so much that they hype background characters, create fan material, and jack off to pony characters that they usually wouldn't jack off to; or they despise it with a visceral, illogical hatred.
I think it has everything to do with a large group of people loving something that really isn't very good. Linkin Park, The Big Bang Theory, My Little Pony. Add to that the fact that these things are often thrust into your face and it gets a bit grating. They become easy to hate.

blame, my old adversary, is that all you've got.

I've prepared for this moment for weeks, there's nothing you can do now to stop me from saying this.

No, you.

sad to see F-Zero dragged into this clusterfuck because of its stupid anime that shouldn't exist and the retarded personality C. Falcon has got from the SSB series.

because of the shit in SSB is that F-Zero sellls less and less. pre-SSB F-Zeros sold the best.

First, how is it embarrassing? It is no more embarrassing than talking about your a video game or anime you like. Also how would you describe pretty much everyone here on GAF that is a fan of any game or TV show? Manchildren? What about all the GAFers that have figurines? What about people who own DVD collections? Are they all manchildren?

Bingo, manchildren.

The reason why people hate bronies is simple, they're jealous. Us bronies have proven to ourselves and the world that we don't care what society's gender laws tell us, we go where we please. In other words, we're free spirits unchained from the male chauvinist ways. We're INDIVIDUALS.

The sad reality is that most people aren't individuals, they're just sheep following their herd. I have many friends like that. Take my friend Randy for example. He's 21, smokes weed (because he thinks its cool), plays only Madden and Call of Duty, and only watches blockbusters like Bayformers and Battle Los Angeles. I try to get him into other things like criterion collection classics and games like Team Fortress 2, but he just denies them. He refuses to watch the criterion films as most of them are "weird" or "foreign", and doesn't like Team Fortress 2 due to the "Saturday Morning Cartoon artstyle". I tried to show him My Little Pony but he just didn't believe I was serious. And I don't feel embarrassed, I just feel bad for him. I mean to be so closed minded even when an adult.

And that's what I think of people here, just a bunch of Randys. They see our admiration for the show with our gifs, avatars, and memes and they just stick up their noses and ignore. But deep down I feel that they wish that they could be unchained enough to admire something that others despise.

lol

I don't mind people thinking the show and its characters are the greatest thing since sliced bread, but it really bugs me when pony fans claim the animation is just as amazing. Its not. Its objectively lazy. Constant tweening, and zooming, over a crummy framerate does not make for good animation.

I haven't been following this thread but I really hope this post is serious.

Bolded made me laugh either way.

lmao

This post needs a dramatic reading.

I like some shows, I like some shows that are timeless and much better than My Little Ponies.

I'm also not a hey-everyone-i'm-a-part-of-a-niche douchebag.

Everyone likes and dislikes things but if you're a d-bag about it, then you deserve to get picked on. And I tried to watch this "great show" and it's mediocre at best. Of all the things to champion and talk about on a semi-regular basis in this world...

Group up everyone that likes twilight zone and let's make pics and gifs for everything and put it in any and all threads. That's not obnoxious! Don't get mad, you don't get it. Twilight Zone is my life...or something. Didn't get that meme? Well, you aren't a part of our niche of random internet people.

This just sums up the whole thread in one post. After reading that, I'm not sure if I want to laugh, or clean myself with the world's toughest scrubbing brush.

I have zero opinion about the show but the internet gifs are funny. More of those please. Knowing nothing about the show adds to the strangeness of this whole thing.

Laugh while scrubbing your tender bits with steel wool.
