I've never seen this show, but the hate it gets from people on here is bizarre as hell. Hate from people who like comic books of all things.

To an outsider, MLP doesn't seem any less stupid than comic books. Take a long look at the cover of a comic book, and tell me the vast majority of them don't look ridiculous.

This looks like something a 13 year old came up with. Now, I'm not going to say grown men shouldn't read comics. I like tons of "immature" things as well (video games for example). I'm just saying, those in glass houses should not throw stones.

Why cartoons that are arguably better, like Adventure Time or Regular Show, don't get as much attention befuddles me. I'd imagine this has already been covered though.

When I brought AT and Venture Bros earlier it just turned into a mudslinging contest like everything else has here. I wouldn't bother trying to start up a debate again at this point if we're at the point where disliking MLP is being compared to racism.

What do you mean. There's a decent sized fan base on neogaf and those shows can be appreciated by adults.

The fans aren't obsessive and there's nothing objectively weird about it.

Most TV shows get a bump when a new episode airs. Movies are hot topics for a while when you get news, they come out, or it's LTTP. Video Games have daily conversation because people are playing them daily. Philiospy, Politics, and Sports have daily conversation for obvious reasons.

There's no reason to talk about MLP daily. Everyone who bumps that thread daily is the "Al-Qaeda ".
 
Just accept the fact that they exist and deal with it. I mean seriously, there are actual world atrocities going on all around you to rage about.

Men liking ponies IS a real world atrocity! It's a symptom of how our society is increasingly losing its masculinity! In 50 years, we'll all either be women or gay men! Then we'll no longer be able to reproduce! Our society will collapse!
