They could do it right if it was something like Legend but more fleshed out. Trilogy of course for the Tri-Force aspect. I mean shit, Ocarina of Time is all you need to do, 13 year old Link in the first, then adult Link in 2 and the majority of 3, back to 13 year old Link.

Hollywood could grab random fans from forums who would shape infinitely better stories.

The beauty of Zelda is that you can make a whole different story. Just as long as you still have certain elements. So, it is harder to screw up. You would have to try really hard to mess it up.
