The real reason why Zelda: TP was delayed?

K) The game was never in development for the Gamecube. They simply announced a realistic Zelda game for the GC to keep the system relevent. It did it's job. Early next year they'll announce it has been "moved" to the Revolution, and they'll justify it by saying it needed the revolutionary features to e done justice to.

I hope this is what it is!

I have wited this long and this would be ok with me.

Specially if it has been designed ground up for the Rev and they have been showing dumbed down graphics on purpose.

It would be a wise bussiness move to release it with Rev to showcase new control.

It would push systems much more then say ... Luigi's Mansion did.

I've been playing the shit out of Double Dash and Mario Baseball of late. I could care less if Zelda shows up. After giving it some thought I'm not even excited about it.

It will be for the Gamecube. Not for Revolution.
Nintendo put alot of effort and money in this game. If they move it to rev now it will even cost more money. Also, they dont have anything else left to sell those last NGC leftovers.

Mario Revolution, Smash bros Revolution, Metroid prime 3 Revolution + Possible Kojima project will sell enough systems :)

It would be an abomination to move Zelda TP to the Revolution. that would kill Gamecube instantly. and it would sell Revolution short cause Zelda TP was not built from the ground up for Revolution. Revolution doesnt need two Zelda games, its already got one in the making. let Gamecube have a proper Zelda game, one that it should've had, because right now Gamecube is lacking a good epic Zelda game (yes I hate Wind Waker with a passion)

*ducks* *runs away* :D

i was agreeing with the post that said that "IF" It was in reality built from the ground up for Rev the whole time and we were just not aware of that.

I am looking forward to Zelda TP more than anything on Xbox360. although that could change at any time, for now Zelda TP is my most anticipated game.

Ported to Revolution. Don't let false assurances convince you otherwise.
i wish i wasn't so lazy so that I could bookmark posts like this and then make a thread filled with those quotes the day Zelda:TP is released for Cube.

I think they delayed it because the Revolution isn't due out for another 8-10 months and they needed something significant for the GC to fill the gap.

Actually, that's probably another reason as well, now that I think about it.

Also, it IS coming out for the GC, damn it!

To counter these rumors, Nintendo UK's public relations manager stated that the company "always said that The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess will appear on Nintendo GameCube and this is still very much the case."

I want it for GC as well this and the kirby new adventure GC will probably be the last 2 first party games for the console unless they announce some more next year and if not these will be my last 2 GC games before getting a Revolution.

Yeah, their are alot of great games out now. Try playing other games while you wait for this.

I am.

Get an Xbox or PS2 and play games instead of making pointless threads while waiting.

I am ffs!!! I have just started Castlevania Curse of Darkness on my PS2. Had to wait a week before getting my imported copy. SĂĄ utala dig inte innan du vet. Don't reply with irrelevant answers.

Regardless anything Nintendo may say, in my humble experience, when a game of this envergure that is delayed that late in it's developement there's 2 reasons that are very likely to be the ones:

1- they found a bug or bugs that need alot of time to clean or they had to redo some part of the code/engine etc.

2- the game has been on play test sessions (or whatever they call it when they gather stats by making the guy next door play the game) and it received really bad impressions.
(so this mean they put back and redo some parts of it or add stuff)

second one is very doubtful seeing as everyone that played the demo at E3 had extremely positives reaction for it.

I say it was delayed because they want to polish the game to hell and back same thing they did with Pikmin 2.

E3 isn't public. Game publishers pretty much all make public testing. It can be very different from industry insiders impression that you gather there -- and most of the time
they are considered more important.

Y) Bad art.

Yep. You and Evilromero are right. The game as we saw it at E3 was pretty ugly. The textures had that blurry N64 feel. Very underwhelming.

I'd like to see the characters revamped -- especially those mush-faced villagers.

They should be aiming for RE4 quality scenery, which the demo version was still straining to reach.

I know they can do it. I'm just not confident that they'll do it in time for the Gamecube.

RE4 was a small and confined world, while Zelda has a HUGE world you can't ask for the same details in both games.

that's like asking for MGS-type quality in visuals for GTA.

Good point. But can't they at least get the dungeons looking better then?

true.

I'd imagine that with Revolution Zelda in 2007-2008, that we'll get a world that is larger than Zelda Twilight Princess combined with more detail than RE4.
