I'm just giving you shit dude. I actually wanted to Stros to win today. I thought the game was locked when it was 5-2. I had other things to do I came back and saw it was 5-5. Even though I wanted the Stros to win, it doesn't bother me if they lose and it gives me plenty of openings to give payback for all those posts after the post bartman choke last year.

Ok, I was at the game (man that place was rocking during the game, especially the inning Biggio hit the homer... absolutely nuts... Big-gi-o chants all over the place... was fucking awesome).
As for yanking Roger... I have to disagree with that move as well.. he looked like he was getting stronger. We needed 1 more inning out of him.
As for pinching hitting for Lidge... a VERY VERY tough call. You can either try to win it there with a runner on 3rd or you take your chances with Lidge batting and have him close out the 9th and try to win it in the bottom of the inning. I thought it was the right move at the time (and still do). You HAVE to go for the win when you are given opportunities. From my vantage point Palmerio's play at first looked safe to me... fucking umps.
Springer hitting Furcal with 2 strikes on him and 2 outs was the killer... you CANNOT DO THAT!!! Especially to their fastest runner. But even with the hitbatsmen and the subsequent steal if you take care of business with the next batter you are out of the inning. He didn't do that unfornately. Oh and Smoltz is some lucky motherfucker... any other play other than a double play and we tie that game up. He pitched like ass.

The way Clemens was pitching that day, if the Braves had just taken advantage of half the opportunities he gave them, the Braves would already be headed to St. Louis. As for Smoltz, I think Bobby is shooting the team in the foot by using him so much. 3 innings in one game, 2 innings today. Smoltz certainly wasn't the strikes fear into the hearts of every batter Smoltz today. He was more like a doing just enough to get by Smoltz.
I don't think they'll be able to use him for tomorrow. One inning perhaps, but that's it. No 2-3 inning streches for him.And I hope the whole Braves team is playing tomorrow. So far, it's been a six man team. Giles, Drew and Chipper Jones might as well not be playing. Though Chipper Jones automatically stops hitting whenever postseason shows up. Honestly, the Braves ought to demand money back from those three losers, especially Jones, considering his history.

I think Jaret Wright has the best ERA among all NL starters in night games. If Cards win tonight, then Braves play at 8 PM tomorrow. Otherwise..it is a 4 PM game. Astros fans should be rooting like crazy that LA wins tonight.
The weather report all says that it will be raining on and off tomorrow in Atlanta so there is a decent chance the game might be rained out, which would be a huge break for the Astros (Oswalt is scheduled to go on 3 days rest tomorrow).

would that push back the NLCS? or would the winner have to go right into playing the Cards?

I don't think they would push the start of the NLCS back. If they have to play Tuesday instead of tomorrow, I am pretty sure the NLCS will still start on Wednesday like scheduled.
Nah, he would've just kept getting into trouble. He's looked scared on both his starts and his control just isnt there at all. Atleast he didnt set us too far back cause Alvarez mowed down Edmonds & Sanders!!!

Doesn't Torre have to decide by tomorrow morning wether Rivera will be on the roster for the ALCS? I know once the ALCS roster is set it can't be changed..ie, Rivera can't be added to it the middle of the series if he didn't begin on it before the first game is played.
Bah! Well it's over for the Dodgers but atleast it wasnt a complete blow out. Our pitching besides Lima left alot to be desired. Our Pen was good going up against this Cardinal line-up, considering the amount of innings they had to pitch. I would call this season a success even though we didnt get past the first round. Also, im gonna be hoping that Dodger fans continue to support the team the way they did this year. G-O! B-L-U-E-!-!-!
