Steal second. Work the count with Nixon and draw a walk (I had him batting 2nd). I double steal, and my friend walks Manny on about 11 pitches. Next up...DAVID ORTIZ.
First pitch...high and inside....fastball...GOODBYE BASEBALL.
7-5, Sox lead. Millar and Bellhorn ended up grounding out afterward, but the damage was done.
I was warming up Bronson Arroyo and Pedro Martinez. We agreed that if you were going ot bring in a starter in relief after having pitched...it'd have to be at least 1 day of rest. For every 1 day of rest, you could go one extra batter. Arroyo K'd Kent twice I believe in the previous game, and had him go 0-3. So...I decided to bring in Arroyo with Kent up to bat. BAM GOODBYE....7-6, Sox still up. I brought in Foulke to seal the deal.
