Hey I don't want to be an ass but I'm a superstitious guy and I knew right away that when the tag was changed the balance of power was altered and there would be problems; I called it right away. I didn't even post in the baseball thread after the preseason because I thought I would screw things up. You can't f with the mojo man, it really exists.

This thread is almost more fun than the games. :lol

I can't even comment. Much like Simmons, the marathon games just ruined me. So much wacky shit the last 3 games I'm almost numb, and I'm not even a real fan of either team.

Arod's girly slap was the funniest thing I've seen in baseball this year, except maybe Cuddyer's embarrasing at bat against Rivera.

Wow, I'm jumping in this thread late. This is fucking hilarious. I'm a Yankee fan along with Joe. And I go to college in Boston. I'm in hell right now. I'm going to drown myself in the Charles River if the Yanks don't pull this one out. And Clark is a flaming piece of garbage, he permanently looks like a deer caught in the headlights. A really old, greying deer.

This is disgusting, but really is there any better way for the Red Sox to do it other than do the impossible?

I have to admit though, the Red Sox fans I work with are all miserable thinking that they won the last 3 just to make tonight cliff jumping miserable.

The AssRod comment in Simmons rant is the funniest thing I've read.

I have a feeling I'm not alone in dealing with the frustration of that Assrod play. It's hard to be a fan of a team and despise one of its players at the same time. When someone strikes out, I can talk shit until the cows come home. Its part of the game.

When someone does something so fucking stupid, and then has the audacity to act as if he did nothing wrong.... ugh. Between the choking, Tony Clark and that fucking play, it's a rough day to be a Yankee fan.

Yeah I know, lots of money and championships stop whining. Blow me.

Anybody else find it strange that Schilling was wearing an actual red(bloodied) sock?

This series has been too perfect so far...almost surreal, or fairy tale-ish even.

Hope this fairy tale has a happy ending! :)

I will NOT be the generation to bear the burden of not only blowing a 3-0 lead for the 1st time in professional sports, but blowing it to the Red Sox. I just won't. I've already almost attacked 2 fair-weather Sox fans today here at work, snapped at my wife all morning, and the inside of my stomach's having a party, and not the good Las Vegas kind. The wait for the 1st pitch tonight is agonizing. *Sigh*

Though I guess he did spend a lot of time on the DL with back problems so it mattered little.

Holy shit... I don't know why I didn't realize it, but Brown's been pitching for 18 frickin years. Didn't seem that long.

As Yankee Hater #1 and with my roommate being from Boston, I can honestly say the last three nights have been more satisfying than any game in the last 5 years for the A's, aside from me being at their 20th win in a row.

Considering that teams usually concede the stolen base with a 2 run lead, a walk is as bad as a home run.
