Starts in 2 weeks, but episodes 1 & 2 are out now. If you see it in advance, at least do the show a favor and watch the actual broadcast and pick up some products from the advertisers that bought time.....the show needs some commercial upturn right now.
(no spoilers below, as long as you have seen all of season 3)
The premiere is kind of slow, and mostly it just spends time telling new viewers what has happened, and telling old viewers what has changed since last year's season finale. I must admit I did kind of need a recap about certain things (like why Claudette isn't being promoted to captain). It's six months later (in Shield-time) and it looks like the changes are going to be major and probably quite permanent....not like the last 3 years where there were seemingly big events but everything went back to normal quickly.
That said, the last scene is a bit of a shocker....and totally cool. Probably cooler than any single scene in any of the episodes from the third season. The revelation is not huge, but the way it plays out and the mood and the lighting and the music and the camera shots are all perfect.
I don't want to watch episode 2, since doing that would mean a long 4-5 week wait for new Shield episodes. But with Lost on hiatus, I might get desperate. =)
