It's really off-putting how they turn to suicide jokes with the noose. I think I've seen two the last few seasons, one with Homer. It just looks...weird, like shock-value humour. Not like suicide wasn't a part of the show before, but outside of Halloween specials and other odd suicide attempts (Moe sticking his head in the oven), it justs feels off to see a noose on Simpsons.
"Wait for me, sir!"
^ What episode is that box from?
Edit: Rosebud, thanks

Yet, strangely, I was more compelled to watch the new episode of Simpsons yesterday over Family Guy.
Walk in, "hey look at this celeberty!!" convenient appearances have been on the show since day one. It's nothing new.
I tried to make it looping, this was the best I could do.
-Tom Jones was hilarious because he was chained up.
-Barry White, come on. "I love the sexy slither of a lady snake." You can't beat that.
The George Bush episode was crap, but I don't think that was actually George Bush.
Did Moe have his head in a oven in one of the earlier seasons?
I started watching s4 again tonight. It starts with lamp Krusty and then follows it immediately with A Streetcar Named Marge, one of my favourite episodes of all time. It's got a very good case for being the best episode ever made
"Would anyone else like a taste of banality?"
http://tv.yahoo.com/news/rip-margar...arge-simpson-on--the-simpsons--204019153.htmlIt won’t be the happiest Mother's Day for "The Simpsons" creator Matt Groening. Homer and Marge Simpson can spar forever in animation, but according to a paid obituary in the Oregonian, Groening’s mother, Margaret "Marge" Groening, has passed away in Portland at age 94.
Her husband -- cartoonist and presumed lover of donuts, Homer Groening, of course -- passed away in 1996. Groening has said that the critically renowned and culturally worshipped show was based on his own family and that he created the show to provide an alternative to the "mainstream trash." His plan worked. Audiences have adored watching Homer and Marge tangle with their children Bart, Lisa, and Maggie for 24 seasons and counting. Yes, Groening has two sisters: Lisa and Maggie.
It is as new to me as American Dad or Family Guy. It is a different show. I take it for what it is today, moderately amusing PG-13 sitcom.
Old, and awesome, but wasn't this debunked since the McBain clips aren't arranged in order of air date?

Reading Zombie Simpsons, and how Doris Grau died. I didn't even notice Lunchlady Doris went missing.
They eventually brought her back with a different voice.
To be honest I am shocked Troy McClure / Lionel Hutz - or at least characters related to them or whatever - have never been brought back. I'm incredibly glad, but they've brought back everything else at this point, so I'm genuinely surprised.
Tell me Uncle Herb is still safe.
Just stop Simpsons. Just stop.
At what point was suicide Moe's only redeeming feature? At what point did someone thing that was a good idea?
I think they brought him back for an episode a few seasons ago.
so they killed maude flanders because the actress left after a pay dispute?
I said damn at the headshots.
Because they aren't that important. You can get someone else to voice them.Basically, although I'm not sure why they specifically chose Maude when she also voiced other characters as well (Helen Lovejoy, Miss Hoover, Luann Van Houten).
