hello Jerry, remember last month when I paid back that loan, well now I need YOU to do a favor for me.
And also his knowledge of Supreme Court justices.
Speaking of which, what would you guys consider "classic" episodes post season 10?
I can use some Tapped out Friends too krae_man965
No idea why my Origin name has that 965 in it but whatever.
Also it won't let me add you.
Aww nothing gets chocolate out, see.
Missionary: Impossible
Behind the Laughter
The Computer Wore Menace Shoes
New Kids on the Blecch (I know some others aren't so keen on this one but I've got a soft spot for it. "Liminal, subliminal and superliminal" is a brilliant joke)
Trilogy of Error
I don't really have active knowledge of the show post season 12 what I have seen convinces me there's nothing there.
Missionary Impossible was where Homer was forced to be a missionary and be treated as a goodwill worker right?

"Classic Simpsons" in the "first decade of the show when it was still the Simpsons even if it tapered off at the end" sense, not "top of the line, best episode contender" sense. They're definitely weak compared to the show through season 8, but they'd have fit in to the season 9-10 run easily and are heads and shoulders above what followed.
Marge: Do you want your son to become become Chief Justice of the Supreme Court or a sleazy male stripper?
Homer: Can't he be both, like the late Earl Warren?
Marge: Earl Warren wasn't a stripper!
Homer: Now who's being naive?
Lisa: Dad, nerds are nothing to fear. In fact, they've done some pretty memorable things. Some nerds of note include...popcorn magnate Orville Redenbacher, rock star David Byrne, and supreme court justice David Souter.
Homer: Oh, not Souter!
Not a fan of that episode, but that line made me think of the New York episode when Bart visits the Mad Magazine building and the receptionist lady informs him that there's nothing interesting going on, just regular office work, and then Alfred E. Neuman pops his head out from a room where all sorts of crazy cartoonish things are going on.I am another one that likes New Kids on the Bleech. It's one of those episodes that just gets so crazy you actually laugh at the absurdity. "Yvan Eht Nioj" is one of the last gags that feels like the classic days, and Lt. L.T. Smash was a pretty memorable villain-type character. Even N*Sync was funny for the brief scenes they were in.

Also, has Krebapel and Skinner called Bart as Bartholomew?
I believe we first hear "Bartholomew" in "Three Men and a Comic Book" back in season 2. Bart refers to himself by his full name during one of the scenes in the Treehouse.
We also hear it "Burns' Heir" (Burns refers to Bart as such pretty much every time) and "Summer of 4 Ft. 2" (Lisa says it with sarcasm after Bart tries to play cool in front of Lisa's new friends).
I'm sure there are more instances, but I'll have to check back.
Now that I think about it it seems the names we are all familiar with are shortened versions of their whole names.
Save for Homer.
Lisa?
You mean L Simpson?
Lisa?
Lisa Marie Simpson is her full name. She is named after Lisa Groening.Ahh yeah, I always thought it was short for Elisabeth
Aww, nothing gets chocolate out. See?
I would have loved a proper Chief Wiggum P.I. spin-off back in the day. Clancy is the best.
Homer: Margery, could you pass me a donut?
Marge: Donut? What's a donut?
Homer: AHHHH! AHHHHH! AHHHH!!!!!!!
....
Marge: Oh, it's raining again.
