I just had a revelation that I generally hate any "dry, vile" characters in any form of entertainment or fiction. Krusty is there, along with Bender (no, Homer and Bart are not as low as Bender), and even DBZ Abridged's take on Popo.

Notably, you only see them in comedies too.

I went on Amazon.ca the other day, looking at the prices for seasons of The Simpsons and found they had a sale on for the first five seasons - 10 dollars each. I snatched those up so fast, and they arrived the other day. On the second disk of the second season now and it's amazing how much I've forgotten, since I haven't seen so many of these episodes in years. They just never seem to be on TV anymore.

Now I have to get seasons 6-12 at some point and I'll be set for life.

don't forget to listen to all the commentary. i always made sure to watch first with commentary and then go back and watch the episodes again.

I really miss the moments where Homer is subtly intelligent, and is actually known to be knowledgeable in the arts.

Also I am just reminded that just because it's part of the classic season doesn't mean it's good. Bart's Dog Gets an F has a really good build up followed by a terrible, terrible resolution.
