yeah today's episode was pretty good. I laughed a lot.
Still lacks the wit of the earlier seasons, though.

Not but really, I'm curious, which episode was it ? A good recent episode that comes to mind is the one where they go on a cruise and Bart gets everybody stuck on a boat because he doesn't want to go back to his boring life. That's the one with the Hot Chip song used in the opening credits. That was neat. I watched it because people were saying good things about it. Never tried to watch another newish episode since this one.

Thanks, I just watched it, and it was nice enough. Loved the jokes about Radioactive Man in the beginning, though the end felt kinda rushed, as usual.

I gave Steal This Episode top scores for a modern HD-era episode simply because everyone involved actually gave a damn for once.
Great script, great animation, great jokes, great voice direction and the guest stars were utilized well.
There's a big reason for this, too - last night's episode was show run by Matt Selman... and NOT Al Jean.
I've been keeping scores for this season in the official Season 25 thread... still probably where modern era ep discussion should be housed so as to not disrupt the nostalgia-fest in the Community thread.
Here's the list so far so you'll have a short list on what to seek out so you can skip the rest of the garbage.

Aside from the funny parts, how cruel was Bart's joke ? What a sad plot
But I love how the family gets involved in the letter to tell Edna goodbye and let her know that she is loved :')

I got one the other day from my traveling housemate. I'm legitimately not sure what half of it says. The sad thing is he might have been completely sober when he wrote it, his handwriting's just on a six year old level.
