"Well! If it isn't the leader of the weiner patrol, boning up on his NERD lessons!"

"Homer, that isn't very supportive."

"You're right Marge. Good job boy."

"EGGHEAD LIKES HIS BOOKEY-WOOK!"

Oh, relax kids. I've got a gut feeling Uter's around here somewhere. After all, isn't there a little Uter in all of us? In fact, you might say we just ate Uter and he's in our stomachs right now! ...Wait. Scratch that one.

A local network aired Ned 'N Edna's Blend. Not the best episode, but all these Edna-centered episodes are rather painful to watch now.

I've tried
beer mixed with cola
and liked it.

Don't judge me :p
I love Coke + Beer.

Fanta + Beer is so popular here in Chile some bars sell it as an actual drink. We call it "Fanshop".

Hmm, I'd like to try that one. What kind of beer do they use?

I have a lot of Noche Buena beers left (traditional Christmas beer) and they are especially bitter, so it should provide a nice contrast.

They use the more common ones, but I imagine a bitter beer would make a good contrast, as you say.

"HOMER!"

"Just tucking him in."

Okay, say what you will about Modern Simpsons, but this Miyazaki tribute is one of my favorite things they've done in years. Just, holy shit. Beats the Del Torro intro hands down.
Nope. That was just pointless filler. At least Del Torro's one was actually funny and was only relegated to the opening credits.

Should I go get the paddle ? :p

By the way, when do we think The Simpsons is going to stop ? I've read that it's renewed until season 26 (so next year). I mean, ratings are not what it used to be (obviously), but they're still good, and I guess the only thing that could bring this show to an end are the production costs.

Even though I don't watch it anymore, I'd be sad to see them go. That's a really weird feeling, plus we've already got so many episodes that it wouldn't feel like there's still some "unfinished business" about it (though only half of them are worth watching).

Either way, they would have to do something. I mean, getting Bart involved in his first relationship with a girl for like the 7th time got boring long ago.

It's probably going to end when one of the primary actors passes away, and that is going to be one sad fucking day.

Shearer is already 70.

Bart: Uh, Mr. Herman?
Herman: Yes?
Bart: Did, did you lose your arm in the war?
Herman: My arm? Well, let me put it this way: Next time your teacher tells you to keep your arm inside the bus window, you do it!
Bart: Yes, sir. I will.

From what I heard, they only ordered about 15 episodes for the 26th, with the previous production season's backlog filling out the rest, so it could very well be the last, if that's the case. Not to mention FXX already securing the cable rights to the show.

I don't know what's best for the show. Like I said, I would be sad to see it go forever, but it can't possibly go on like this. I just hope they're gonna bring their A game for the last season or at least, the series finale.

The last two episodes (Steal this Episode, Married to the Blob) on top of a handful of others have been surprisingly decent this season. Don't know if it's a trend, but I'd hope for it to stay at this quality going forward. It's still a welcome show on my Sunday Fox block next to Bob's Burgers, so I'd be sad to see it go. Were it to finally be canned, it would leave a gaping crater sized hole in it's place. Not going to be filled easily, if ever. I would at least hope for a proper finale. Once they identify the final season, it'd be great if they could bring back as many classic writers/directors as they can, and have one final film directed by Brad Bird.

They've begun to stockpile specialty episodes possibly in hopes of a final ratings blitz when they eventually decide to pull the plug.
- The 'Simpsons visit Rigel VII' episode has been wrapped up for a while now.
- There's a Futurama crossover planned (not to be confused with the Simpsons crossover the Family Guy crew is working on).
- There's the 'all LEGO' episode.
- There's another future Christmas episode where Homer's a hologram.
- There's the Judd Apatow-penned episode based on a script idea he had when Season 1 of the show was airing back in 1990.

Some of these will likely turn up during May sweeps this year but others will be held from airing until later.

FXX is moving ahead with their new deal regardless of the show's run on FOX. The first 24 seasons will be available through their app starting this August.
