I love how Bart thinks all of his daydreams about himself being washed up in the future are cool.

"Man you forgot it was about the music!"

I made a post in the last thread with one of my favorite examples of this:

"Before I saw these test results I had you pegged as a drifter."
"Wow, a drifter..."

"Lousy sheriff. Run me out of town. He's lost my vote."

This week on The Simpsons, Homer dies a bunch of times and gets replaced by clones. Also, Milhouse is a zombie. It's a future episode.
The next episode, Bart gets his art teacher pregnant.
The next ep is the all-LEGO episode. It's like The LEGO Movie... but starring The Simpsons.
Still no word on the Futurama episode, the ep where The Simpsons visit Rigel VII or who dies in the Season 26 premiere.

They'll never stop the Simpsons... have no fears, we've got stories for years!

522 episode marathon in August on FXX. 12 days straight.

Anybody going to stay up and watch the whole thing? Or at least the "good seasons"?

Watching the whole thing would kill most people. Plus, because it's on FXX, they'll be airing episodes with commercials and quite likely the syndicated cuts of the classic era episodes as well. Just making it through the initial 181 pre-Scully episodes would shatter the current Guinness World Record of 86 hours and 37 minutes of consecutive Simpsons watching. Would rather marathon uncut episodes without commercials.

It's still easier than have to deal with the Homer head DVD case.

You cannot be serious. Especially the pregnancy one. And I kinda see something in regards to the future episode, but this is supposed to be the sequel to Holidays of Future Past. The best goddamn Simpsons episode in a long time.

I'm quite serious about the pregnancy one.

"THE SIMPSONS" - (8:00-8:30 PM ET/PT) CC-AD-HDTV 720p-Dolby Digital 5.1

BART MAKES HIS TEACHER PREGNANT ON AN ALL-NEW "THE SIMPSONS" SUNDAY, APRIL 27, ON FOX

Bart can't stand art class. So he makes a voodoo doll of his art teacher. But when his spell makes her pregnant instead, he becomes a savior to Springfield couples trying to conceive. Then, he's kidnapped to help conceive a thoroughbred race horse in the all-new "What to Expect When Bart's Expecting" episode of THE SIMPSONS airing Sunday, April 27 (8:00-8:30 PM ET/PT) on FOX. (SI-2514) (TV-PG D, L, V)

Voice Cast: Dan Castellaneta as Homer Simpson; Julie Kavner as Marge Simpson; Nancy Cartwright as Bart Simpson and Nelson; Yeardley Smith as Lisa Simpson; Harry Shearer as Skinner; Hank Azaria as Moe, Pamela Hayden as Milhouse and Jimbo; Tress MacNeille as Dolph
Incidentally, this is not the first time Bart has thought he got someone pregnant (Season 18's Little Big Girl) or tried to get someone pregnant (Season 21's O Brother, Where Bart Thou?).

Holy shit at those upcoming descriptions.
and don't forget about the upcoming Family Guy crossover episode "The Simpsons Guy"

The real news here is the new "Simpsons World" app they mentioned in the same news story:

An app is expected to debut in coming weeks and while executives at the presentation suggested the name “Simpsons World” had been bandied about, FX Networks spokesman John Solberg said a name for the digital outlet was “not formalized yet.” The app would be distinct from the FXNow mobile-viewing application already available.

“Think of it as a comprehensive, beautifully curated digital library of all things ‘Simpsons,’” Landgraf said . “I’m absolutely blown away by what I’ve seen. This could well be the best app I have ever seen.”

The Simpsons 'could last 50 years'

The Simpsons executive producer Al Jean says he expects the TV show, now celebrating its 25th year, to last for at least five more years – and maybe until it is 50

Al Jean, the executive producer of The Simpsons, says he is confident that Homer and Co will be around until 2019 – and could even survive to celebrate their 50th anniversary.

Jean, 53, who has worked on more than 500 episodes of The Simpsons since it launched in 1989, said: "In show business you always treat every day as your last, but we're guaranteed through 26 seasons. The deals are usually in installments of four and the ratings are good, so I can't see why we wouldn't go to 30 . . .and why can't we go to 40 or even 50."

Homer: "Could you... give me a handful of...peanuts, Mmmaude?"
Maude: "Oh, sure."
Homer: "Not those peanuts, the ones at the bottom."

That whole party segment cracks me up every time.

Revisiting this post to focus on a different element of it now.
I hope you didn't watch last night's episode with any heightened expectations because, man, what a piece of garbage it turned out to be.
It's like they through any zany idea they had out there with no rhyme or reason.

Lisa's a necrophiliac. Marge commits suicide to join Homer on a flash drive. Bart ends up having an orgy with Krusty and a bunch of elderly clowns.
It wouldn't have been so bad if the jokes were funny. But, alas, they were not.
