So, do you guys think the game is still worth getting even with all the stuff they took out?
I have to say I'm a bit curious since I'm a fan of the franchise...
I think I'd rather play Sims 3, heck Sims 1 seems like an upgrade.
Not sure what's new, despite having read the OT.
There are def. bugs, but all that I've seen are minor annoyances rather than gamebreaking. At the moment, I'm more worried about all the bugs the game has.
Well, how do you access the other neighborhoods. As far as I can tell, you're stuck with the one neighborhood per world.
I have decided to make my children as the following. The eldest will be a super nerd; the second one will be a jock; the last one will be an evil dick. The first two are boys, and my waifu is pregnant with the third one now. Hoping for a girl!
Only positive.
You get one when maxing an aspiration (already have 3/4 maxed) + those you can buy.
Hit Alt+Enter to switch to Windowed mode. Should match your desktop refresh rate then.Refresh rates too high for my monitor. How can I fix it? Won't display anything unless I tab out

Then go into Options in the "..." button on the top fight of the screen and set the refresh rate manually.
Yup. Put your songs in the Custom Music folder. You can look up specific details on where that is on the Internet because I don't quite remember.Worked, thanks a ton!
Can we import music?
Sometimes when you're on a date, the requirements are that both sims have to be flirty or playful or something like that. How exactly are you supposed to achieve that given that you don't even control one of them? I've tried spamming all the romantic/friendly/funny options but that doesn't really seem to do it.
Bonus screenshot from house when I'd just begun with this sim and had used up all my starting money buying stuff to put in the house that I couldn't afford to actually finish the house .
So, has everyone managed to find theFound them quite by accident, but I think I've found them all.two secret hidden lots?
Fantastic house, looks really good.
I've found neither, but I haven't gotten around to looking for them either. How do you go about doing that?
Thanks! I'm really happy with how it came out to be honest
I need help enjoying Sims 4. I find myself spending most of the day trying to keep my Sim's bars in the green, and then they go to work and I do the green bar keeping game again the next day. Everything feels like I'm just ticking off checklists day to day and feel really bound to it. I think it's what killed my enjoyment of Sims 3 and it's starting to with this game too. I guess I don't understand how to properly play Sims? Help!
Also my first Sims died making grilled cheese sandwiches on the oven that burst into flames.
is there a cheat to temporarily freeze needs?
Open console and type in "Testingcheats true".
Shift click on Sims and you should be able to max the needs.
Ouch. That's online connectivity stuff. I only play offline that .Had my first bug today. I saved up around 160k and move my sim onto an empty lot to start flexing my interior decorator skills. Built all the wall, set down the two premade rooms I wanted and set about furnishing and decorating the rest. Two hours later I'm running low on funds and am only really half way done. I have to go to work so I think I'll call it a day but recall one more thing I wanted to buy quick for a room. I open the build menu, then accidently click the gallery at which point the game crashes without saving.
I think I'm going to go stare at the sky with a single tear running down my cheek now...
I've sunk 19 hours in and unfortunately the lack of content is now more apparent now the gloss has worn off.

Just timed a trip to the museum. 30 seconds of loading to go there, 25 seconds to come back. I wouldn't call that barely. It's shorter than the minutes long loading screen when you first loaded a game in the Sims 3, but in no way is it seamless.
- New decorative object! The High-Rider Gnome has journeyed long from his hidden grotto in the tropics to join you in The Sims 4.
On an SSD, which the poster youre responding to might be, the load times are only a few seconds.
Started a second sim and still on the first lot, kept expanding the home as I was able to afford more and more stuff, current state:
From the 9/9 patch notes:
Hopefully this is indicative that they're going to keep a trickle of free stuff coming in with patches, but I'm really worried since EA is being so tight lipped about what's coming for TS4 and how they plan on supporting the game.
heck Sims 1 seems like an upgrade.
So this is fairly obvious but I figured I'd still ask. I got to level 10 of the writing career and pull in about 2500 simoleons per day from book royalties. These royalties won't stop if I decide to switch to another career will they?
