Are you referencing the game junkies by Skyline Chili? If so I think I bought Viewtiful Joe there.

Yes by the chili. My boy Ken lives in an apartment building down Fountain Boulevard. If you see a green Focus 4-door parked, egg that bitch.

Game junkies is a store first, but it's also a place where gamers are encouraged to hang and play whatever they want. They let me try an imported PS2 Metal Slug 3 once, I wasn't impressed with the slowdown. The got a at least six stations to play at, not counting the HD in the back, and a Steel Battalion hutch. Some imports, some wall scrolls, and quite a few OSTs.

They do hold tourneys, but the best thing they do is Friday Night Live, where they open back up at 9pm and stay open until 3am or such, with a $10 cover. Lotsa people come by, they blast videogame music, and you play in mini tourneys or what have you.

Most of the clientele these night are high schoolers, so if you're like me be prepared to be utterley annoyed at kids. The place seems way too small to hold these events but it works. DDR is big there and if you go Friday nights you might see Dark10x and his boys.

Check the place out and tell them that the Monk sent you. They'll say, "Who?"

Huh, that sounds kinda cool although I might get kinda annoyed by the kiddies. :) Most of the places that I buy videogames aren't that great; the EB in Kenwood fired my friend wrongfully, so I stopped going there (plus their employees just in general just freak me out) and there's a Gamestop in Rookwood that I go to, but it's managed by some chick that just gives me blank stares every time I want to buy something.

I have exams in two weeks, I might go after that.
