I like the show but to me there's a wierd disconnect between vampire apocalypse at night and everything is fine during the day. Hopefully they will paint a better picture of the city going to shit.

Think I'm gonna miss the premiere due to the finale of "The Night Of". Next week, though, I will have no such excuses.

First season was great, second not so much. I had expected New York to go to hell with waves of panic and everyone leaving in droves when they found out but nobody seems to really care a whole bunch and many still seem to still be oblivious at everything going on around them.

Saying that I'll watch again in hopes of it getting better.

As someone who has lived in NYC that part is probably true.

Considering how last season ended, I expect this season to be refreshing since I doubt it will be following the books anymore.

From the west coast but I think it is on at 10pm eastern 9pm central which is about an 1 hour from now west coast folks have to wait another 4 hours.

Will add this to the OP don't know how spoilers work but I will post a short and a longer more detailed summary in spoilers.

Episode One - New York Strong

That Season promo looked fun as hell. Kamikaze strigoi, mass beheadings, crazy old man flashbacks of vampire torture porn, and a full backstory episode for Quinlan? Yes please. This is garbage TV at its finest.

Why the fuck didn't Fet shoot at him the moment he popped up? He literally just stood there and waited for Eichorst to finish speaking before he opened fire. What the f is up with his weak ass delayed reaction???

The opening was really good although the scene after that reminded me of how much I forgot since season 2. I did like the structure of the episode with the group split up and them trying to solve the problem with their own solutions. Although I didn't like the Navy Seal fight with the Master it wasn't visually interesting as the opening scene and it didn't show off any of the Masters power in an interesting way. The final scene along with the one before did decrease my enjoyment of the episode but I am still interested in the next episode.

Really liked this episode until the end. I was thinking a whole episode without Zach, his mom or Palmer this is great! But nope. Zach and mom really really really really need to go already. Please?

I thought for sure they'd all have been wiped out already.

Not a bad episode overall, I had low expectations and it managed to beat them.
Zack really needs to die though after what he did last season.

I wasn't sure I was gonna come back to it this season but after watching the first episode I remembered why I loved to hate it.

It's so dumb yet is completely oblivious to how dumb it is, so there's an innocence to it. Super bad but super fun.

Aww, I actually enjoy watching this show. It's not perfect, or anywhere close to that, but it's fun and creepy/gross.

I'd tell the wife she can keep Zach and we keep the book. Better trade lol. Looks like we may see some more of Quinlans past.
