The Sun: PS4 will be released in October for £300

Relax, guy. Everyone makes mistakes.

Two facts to consider:

1 - Everyone working at the Sun with direct responsibility for that article is long gone. It's the same paper in name only.

2 - Whilst the Liverpool fans certainly WERE NOT the catalyst of the disaster, you can hardly say they were entirely blameless.

What exactly did the Liverpool fans do that makes them partly responsible for the disaster?

There are plenty of people still at the Sun with direct responsibility for employing Kelvin MacKenzie, so no.

Do fuck off.

Eh, fuck that.

Shameful.

tfw>someone cites The Sun as a respectable news source above anyone else - even Putin has more credibility.

:0
You can't be Kurt anymore, nope.

I can see £349, £379 and then maybe some sort of subscriber model at £300

but I think £300 on its own is optimistic
It could sell for £500 and it would probably still sell more than Wii U. And I'm a Nintendo fan. The UK loves shooters and FIFA.

I dunno

I think the age of super expensive consoles is over

Or at least it should be, people don't have that kind of money to throw around anymore. I mean I can see them pricing it at £400+ but I think it would be a mistake

I'd rather you answered a simple question thanks
Try this for a starter: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...ices-job-harder-says-Sir-Norman-Bettison.html

Matches other articles on the disaster I read in that the fans had no responsibility in the cause of the disaster, but were a hindrance through their subsequent actions.
Ultimately, wasn't most of the outrage with the Sun at the time caused by a (false) accusation that the fans were stealing from corpses inside the ground?

Pathetic, totally pathetic. Read up before you spout shit about things you haven't got a clue about.

Nah, not at 500, maybe 400. I mean yeah, obviously it would sell more than the U but it's not like that would be an accomplishment.

The one I have pre-ordered at the moment is around £400 so £300 would be nice, then again it's coming from the Sun so likely that price is bollocks.

I just hope the games come at £40, a bunch of sites are currently listing them at £50 which is a bit much.

An immensely over crowded area with people being crushed, how are they expected to behave? A hindrance? I can't believe what I read at times.

That man has since resigned to save his pension.

The outrage was regarding the Sun being a PR spin for a government cover up, headed by a odious toad called Kelvin McKenzie , stealing from the dead, pissing on them and attacking police officers.

Imagine having your loved ones name dragged through the horrendous lies for 23 years in the public domain.

Hey I'm not the biggest fan of the Scouse lot (stupid 4-3's, although I do like them under Rodgers), but this is uncalled for. And it's not the time nor place. You'd do well to avoid sensitive topics like this

So you're believing Bettison, the chief constable who 'would have a case to answer for gross misconduct' over his dealings during the Hillsborough disaster?

Wow. Try again. Or better still, don't say anything until you know what you're talking about.

I wonder if they hacked a Sony Exec's answering machine...

Either way, I definitely wouldn't trust The Sun on this... Just as I wouldn't trust them on anything else.

Also, props @SMD for telling it how it is. Down with The Sun.

You have no excuse for this level of ignorance, & quoting Norman Bettison(who would have been up on gross misconduct charges if he hadn't resigned to avoid them) just make you look like a fool.

I hoped the thread title wasn't referring to the shitty 'newspaper', but alas it was.

tbh, I'm surprised it isn't a banned site

Their guess is as good as ours. No better than ours either though :P

In the UK I guess it'll be a £350 entry price.

That'd be roughly in line with 399 euros.

If there is a limited supply and they could sell 100% of allocated 2013 stock at £400, would they sell at £300 simply for good PR?

£300 is an amazing price, therefore, it will not happen.

However, the PS3 was a shocking £425 in the UK. That would be a disaster. I will not buy unless it's closer to the 300s than the 400s.

My PS3 is one of the best £425 I ever spent, I have pre-ordered my PS4 with a tentative (I presumed they guessed) £400 price and I'm happy with that, anything cheaper is a bonus.

All I read was "The Sun" and knew that unless I wanted to know what some Z list celebrity had done in bed with another Z list bottom feeding celeb then I might as well stop reading. Shocking excuse for a paper.

£300 would be nice though.

300 pounds sound quite possible if they could sell you a PSN subscription :)

Don'd do this to yourself.

They might do a PSplus + extra monthly subsidy contract where you can get one cheaper, like the Microsoft Store deals on Xbox 360 -- do you mean they might sell it to you for £300 if you commit to a year or two of PS+? That might be possible I guess.

Failing that though, you're not going to get the PS4 for £300.

I mean, it's not a super crazy speculation so they could end up being right, but I would still refrain from using them as a source.
