This sort of violent rhetoric makes me sick. Is this what GSP's corporatised image and fighting style have done to the sport? Are fighters like Diaz no longer human beings, labouring and representing their art in a contest based on mutual respect, but merely impediments that must be vilified and cudgelled in the name of expanding GSP's passive income?

It might seem that way but it's just how things are done. Instead of ending this long-running tradition, I propose a system where for every round that George starts in this advantageous position yet is unable to secure a finish, his pay is docked. He could be made aware of this via some sort of easily recognisable coloured card that the referee could display after every five minutes of vaseline fuelled athletic canoodling. Perhaps this could motivate him to test his abilities.

GSP will muscle his way to a decision. It will be similar to the Condit/GSP fight, only without the scare for Georges. Diaz will flip him and/or the camera off a few times during the fight. Afterwards GSP will apologize to Joe Rogan for his performance and make up some injury that he will claim occurred in the 2nd round. When Rogan interviews Diaz he will rant about how he's in the Ultimate Fighting Championships not the Ultimate Wrestling Championships and threaten to retire.
