Didn't stop a mod posting the Wii U on par with 360

how does that level thing work?

That "Lv. 16" seems to be printed like the rest

Wow, instigating the powers that be 2 weeks before E3.

Good luck my son.

I can't say for sure, but I'm fairly confident that his involvement in ReBirth was minimal, other than suggesting that it be made a quasi-remake of the GB title so as to fit into his existing continuity.
Still, it was a producer role, right? Not just a thanks or something I believe. I wouldn't mind if he could produce another with M2.

Is that really ban worthy? I remember I used to post on a popular UK student forum and would get maybe 1 week bans for stuff like having "the mods are c*nts" hidden in my avatar, and creating an "official racist thread" as a joke :p

RE: the nice DQ mem stick, I bet it's 16GB hence the "lvl 16" business

Hey wait, the Spike TV airing the Nintendo Conference thing is a partnership with NoA?

OH WOW!

This could mean big things!

I don't see a problem with said thread. It's an issue that deserved/deserves discussion.
The problem is the quote was out of context. For what they were trying to do, working on the Wii U was on par with the 360.
They wouldn't dedicate any resources to making it look better. Not that they couldn't.

It means that NoA is finally starting to market properly.

What about Idea man's thread, will it be in community too?

Ideaman hasn't been verified to post a thread, to my knowledge. I discussed it with him and said we don't normally allow a thread to be made because a random member claims information, not without providing some evidence to support that information. I did say we're open to the idea, but it would need to be discussed further.

He's not getting an 'IdeaMan Soapbox' if that's what your asking. GAF has no place for those threads.

Because, if I recall correctly, it came from developers. As in, people working on games in the industry. Accuracy of the rumour is subject to information not accessible to a vast majority of people posting on this board, including everybody in this thread.

Just because a bunch of agro Nintendo fans dislike the idea of such things being discussed at all does not warrant a blanket ban on such threads. They'd have the decency to enter the thread, discuss the information and, if they could, dismantle the claims and prove them false. That is good posting.

I'm not sure. I think a poster in the other thread might have just read this wrong (or not, like I said, unsure at the moment):

If I'm correct.... Not really. G4 used to air the conferences, but Viacom (owners of Spike and MTV) last year have gained exclusive TV rights to some conferences, and now have exclusivity on Nintendo's. It's the same "partnership" that Microsoft and EA had last year.

If they want their conference aired on TV like everyone else, they'll have to go through this "partnership."

Are they doing two different roundtables, one for First Party and the other for Third Party, like last year?

Edit: I see a Software Showcase on their website. Guess that means they're either doing both that day, or just First Party.

You know the thread still exists. And everybody can visit and post in it...right? The only thing that changes is where the thread is listed, and given the speculation threads continually sit on the front page of the main forum, and operate more like communal threads with general, multi-topic spread discussion, it only makes sense that they're categorised correctly.

I never read or visit the community forum, so I guess this thread is my last Wii U speculation thread. :(

Wait so Spike TV airing the Nintendo Conference is new? They didn't last year?

Yup it's new. Last year they had only the Microsoft one. Maybe a third party or two also but can't remember.

Yup I think it does. Shows they're willing to go after the hardcore which is a very good thing.

Bookmark the new thread, and it will be only one click away :P.

I'm the same as EDarkness. Regardless of how much I post in a thread, once it hits community it's dead for me. I posted on wrasslegaf like mad, haven't posted a single post there in months.

I visit OT and Gaming side so much it's this mental barrier of having to visit one more place that I don't like doing. Ah well. It was fun. E3 around the corner anyway.

I'll keep it open in a tab, like I always do. But my participation in non-Wii U Speculation threads might go up a bit. No biggie. :)
I shall do the same possibly.
