Wii U Speculation Thread VI: Before the Obnoxious Belts and Zippers

Wii U Speculation Thread VI: Charizard
Ironically, the Wii was the only console this generation to get a "regular" Castlevania game.
And by "regular", I mean not-SotN-style. Rebirth was great.
Wii U Speculation Thread VII: Obviously the best in the series
Final fantasy VII reference for those who don't get it.

He figured a party game would work better. Then he tried to pitch it as a fanservice game, but had Obata redesign all the characters in a Deathnote-style. It's like making Smash Bros. but asking Ryuhei Tamura to redesign all the characters to look closer to Beelzebub - I love that manga, but that is really missing the point.
IGA could not envision a Wii Castlevania without using the wiimote as a whip and this idea kind of repulsed him.
What does this have to do with Castlevania? Not trying to sound rude, i'm just wondering.Don't forget Pandora's Tower![]()
Yeah. Recently playing some Magic Duels of the Planeswalkers, it seemed like something where multi-controller support could be really handy. Each player has their hand and the overall playfield shows on TV.vectorman06 said:Call me crazy, I hope Konami does something neat with Yugioh WiiU or Dragon Collection. Imagine playing a card game on upad![]()
Sounds like a great way to drive up the price on something that doesn't need to be a standard feature.Dreamwriter said:I just had a wild idea: what if the Wii-U has 3DS guts inside? At one point when asked about support for multiple controllers, Miyamoto said that they would have used 3DS's as controllers if they had planned to do that. Imagine the huge surprise when Nintendo announces that your Wii-U can also play every 3DS game, just not in 3D! This could be a feature which drives sales of *both* systems.
If they were anywhere near done, they wouldn't be missing. If such dungeons were added in, they'd probably be something all-new added by people who didn't make the original. The Giant said:If nintendo releases Wind Waker in HD. What are the chances that they will add the missing dungeons back in the game.
Easiest way is to hook your computer up to a 1080p screen. Find a game and play with the settings.Gahiggidy said:I wish there was a way to seethe difference in 1080 and 720p for myself. Something along the lines a of a blue ray disc with three sample games switching between the modes. Also, comparisons between 60 and 30fps along with anti-aliasing techniques.

"We could make this an RE4 style game but WHAT IF"Castlevania Wii was a victim of developers not understanding what they could use the controller for (for example, nothing) and the reputation the system had as only being for families.
I wouldn't say the Wii U has wiped either slate clean.
That's the point real RPG fans know that the FF7 being the best in the series is a lie.Having thread titles that lie seems like a bad idea.
Wii U Speculation Thread VI: Because V just couldn't make it to E3.

Apparently Colonial Marines got delayed.

AGAIN? Even with a fall 2012 releasedate it would've been two years behind the schedule. And even more if it wasn't cancelled in 2008. (Work resumed in early 2009 with a late 2010 releasedate planned)
What about the Wii U Discussion Thread (after E3)?
It's all basically the same thing, so yeah, any Wii U general threads, dedicated mostly to speculation and such prior to the system's launch, will sit in community.
Well this delay is clearly a "Oh fuck CODBLOPS2" delay.
So, ShockingAlberto has given me an idea in the Castlevania thread; NFC chips in 3DS cartridges to unlock content in related WiiU games ie. New Super Mario Bros. 2/Mii.
Does someone who knows the tech know if this is feasible?

Sure. Or they could unlock the content using NiN or plain old WLAN.So, ShockingAlberto has given me an idea in the Castlevania thread; NFC chips in 3DS cartridges to unlock content in related WiiU games ie. New Super Mario Bros. 2/Mii.

B-b-but where there's smoke, they pinch back!Wii U Speculation Thread VI: Conquering Community!
[Edit] New News - This just in! Many rumors about the Wii U are, in fact, false!
The presentation, shown live from the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, will deliver an inside look at Wii U and Nintendo 3DS games, exclusive trailers and more. The special event will telecast on Spike TV and MTV2 as part of the Spike TVs E3 All Access Live live program, which will bring you more than 17 hours of multi-platform coverage from E3 2012.
I know.
I'm trying to be positive. Maybe at some point these speculation threads will become general community threads? That'd definitely be a good thing.
