They are making an MMO and an AAA Wii U game.

Yoshi's Island with pointer controls sounds like a total travesty. I can't imagine it being good.

Yoshi's Touch & Go worked fine, and that was with stylus controls. With the Wii, it would be even easier because you have the nunchuk to let you move instead of having auto-scrolling. I think it would work better than traditional controls, though it would be really hard to follow with 4 crosshairs on screen if there was a multiplayer mode.

an interesting tidbit - Ubisoft is saying that they will not only show video of WiiU games at their press conference (already discussed), but will also show demonstrations of WiiU games (per Jim Reilly's twitter).

I assume they'll be using the new controller, so am curious what Nintendo's original plan was to unveil the changes. Unless they were going to let Ubi use the old controller?

Could be. It would be a perfect opportunity to do so. Nintendo probably told Ubisoft to show all the Wii U ports at their conference and save the exclusives for the Nintendo conference. I wonder if EA will be doing the same thing.

I wouldn't be surprised, I think in their press release or whatever, they didn't mention Killer Freaks from Outer Space but did say "and other games" or something.

That title seems a high profile title for them so what you said could be why they didn't name it.

Probably weren't going to mention the controller changes cause they're not that big of a deal compared to actual games in action.

It's a GTA V island.

Top long bit is a runway, airport hangars are right at the top.

Still leaves the whole "comrade" thing, although it could be the story of russians in southern California.

I just finished Kid Icarus Uprising (ANYBODY with a 3DS...BUY THIS FREAKING GAME IT'S AMAZING), and gosh, I need more Nintendo in my blood stream....While I wait for the NP Reveal, I'm going to play Paper Mario, Donkey Kong Country 2 and Brawl.
