Better start telling people they own their games then, otherwise they arn't getting my money, they already took my ability to play a lot of them i paid for away on an OS of my choice in 2022, Ubisoft needs to prove they are on the gamers side for me to trust them.

Mean while at Playstation Studios......

I'm not saying it's a good thing, but this is just for one IP and Sony can't even do this with multiple IP's
Both are ridiculous

You do realise Ubisoft has about 20,000 employees, most of which are working on Assassin's Creed, whilst Playstation has in total around 7K-8K.

So,

- Shadows is Codename Red,
- Codename Invictus is that multiplayer only AC game (does it have a single player campaign?),
- Codename Hexe is the next main AC after Shadows featuring a female protagonist who is a Witch set in the late 17th century Salem Witch Trials,
- Then there's the Black Flag remake.

Including these, there are 16 more AC games, or another 20 AC games apart from this?

Either way, good lord. Ubi is just sucking every ounce of blood from this franchise.

Maybe they forgot to add on the delays once they show people how insulting and culturally insensitive they are?

new AC every half year.
New AC doesn't mean new flagship title, which only Shadows is so far.
Invictus is an MP game, HEXE is a linear focused game, Jade is a mobile game, there probably be another VR game, a card game, a side scroller etc.
If you cycle between those, 2 AC's a year can be done without either of them being a flagship title.
Right now we have Shadows and Jade for 2025.
Invictus might also be 2025, but they might push it to 2026
2025: shadows/jade
2026: hexe/invictus
2027: VR/something else
2028: flagship/mobile
2029: alternative AC/something else
2030: VR/something else

That's 6 years of a new AC every 6 months, but only 2 flagship titles.
set in the late 17th century Salem Witch Trials,
No, there were more witch trials in the world than just salem, hexe takes place in germany.

I really hope Shadows bombs catastrophically and AC gets retired for a few decades at least. Time for new IPs.

Sounds like 100% fake news. As an example, Ubisoft said they are in 'exploration phase' for the next Rayman, meaning they didn't even start its preproduction and are just figuring out what they could do with it for their next Rayman game.

This is actualy sad, I love Assassins Creed, I manage the time between them myself so I dont get burnt out though. This seems to me though the pricks at the top are going to sacrifice AC to try get Ubi back on track, milk it for all its got then fuck it off, pricks.

"Man, I hope they never stop making Assassin's Creed!", turned out to be a monkey paw wish of mine after playing AC2 at release lmao.

Bullshit.

Refuse to believe it.

It’s bad enough these games come out at an almost annual basis.

Is this the Ubisoft shareholders genius idea to make more money?

We thought they were going Rogue, and sticking to the Shadows and slowing down releases with the delay, but that French-Canadian Syndicate's Origins just won't let them I guess. At least they are showing Unity in light of recent Revelations that the Brotherhood shan't be defeated, and can continue this Mirage under the guise of quality in this strange Odyssey this franchise has been on until they see Valhalla I guess. Going to brush up on my American witchcraft history to get ready for the discourse around Hexe. Don't want to be caught flat footed. I know there's a lot there. I dearly hope it does not get canceled. There will be a 400 page NeoGAF thread once the historical talking points are out there.

Talk about desperate I don't think there are enough AC fans around that are willing to buy pretty much the same game every 6 months.

Didn’t they have to halt and take a long break from the constant releases of Assassin Creed because people were getting burned out on them? I can see releasing AC every six months working out really well for them.

Assassin's Creed and Rabbids of course!

Wow. They went from a company trying to defend itself from hostile investors/takeovers and now they've resorted to this...
They deserve to go under, imo. They put themselves in this situation and I see leaner, NEW studios eating their fucking lunch and dinner and not even batting an eye at the competition

Writes a lot, says very little
Oh so.....what they currently already do/ lol , keep in mind I believe they mean any AC title, as in ALL TITLES regarding that IP, VR, mobile phone, facebook game, remaster, remake etc

I think some on here either can't read or are gullible for like the lowest type of sheep bait lol

of varying size and scope over the next ten years,

Which means they could be including the remakes of ACIV and planning more remakes if that does well and dualing the series like we see with Resident Evil

As we've seen RE2, RE3 and still got RE7 and RE8, then remake of RE4 etc

This could be what they are planning as the IP is old enough where this would make sense. So in that time frame they might be remaking the Ezio stuff as well and might be seeking to include Switch 2 into this.

So this doesn't sound all that different then what they've done in the past

Let me remind people as some on here seem to over sensationalize anything this publisher states

^ that is what the last 10 years of AC has been in terms of game releases...

That is 18 releases.

To say that in the next 10 years they will put out 20

Before we leap to some Youtube shock face reactions, lets at least understand if this is THAT much different then what they've done before...that is merely 2 extra games, could be a remake, could be remasters, could be Switch 2 being included etc could be more VR, could be less.

Based on the facts of what they've done before, I don't see much here to over sensationalize

Z Z O N E yes and no, I believe you are thinking about the main line titles. After Unity, I believe Ubisoft got rid of one of the teams and planned to no longer do a yearly release of the AAA ones, that went into effect with AC Odyssey and since then, it has not been a yearly IP in terms of the main titles
