The Witcher 3 PS4 gameplay

Look at these gifs, this is what your current gen only tech is giving in spades, so much world space with so much detail.

Again, DA: Inquisition did not invent such a thing.
I don't think DA:I has to be the most original progenitor, otherwise people can start quoting MS-DOS games or something.

But it feels like they are going for the same wow bedroom mountain view effect as Skyhold.

Well, the game has been in development for years. I'm sure they had that part done last year when DA: Inquisition released. A gorgeous mountain view is not unheard of and I can see why they would want it, given the location.

Yeah. I bet if you took 10 artist and asked them to design a mountainside keep, most, if not all, would have a balcony with a view of the mountains.

holy fuck

This is PS4 footage? Holy crap

And motion blur? I haven't even seen that in many of the PC videos outside of one with a griffon fight. Good to see that's in, even if it's just a camera blur.

Yep. I would link you to the video, but it was just removed. The game looks astounding.

Seeing this game looking like that, at 1080p, and a relatively smooth framerate is far above what I expected for this game and bodes really well for next gen only multiplat games on the console. I was expecting there to be some issues with the console versions with them not showing anything for so long but it's damn impressive.

Damn, this is fucking amazing. The trees are rendered all the way into the distance. The lighting before Geralt steps out also looks pretty nice. And like RoboPlato said, there is camera motion blur. The video is pretty compressed, but shadows look quite good as well. This is looking out to be one damn fine port.

Since the PS4 version of The Witcher 3 already looks pretty solid, I wonder what the day one patch will fix. I'm guessing the minor frame rate issues and the shadow pop in like the one on the last page.

But from the impressions we got from people who currently have the game, there doesn't seem to be many bugs and glitches. I'm not saying there aren't, but they seem minor. Nice to have them fixed regardless.

Open world games always have a bunch of minor ones. Just comes with the territory. Not saying that the game has any major or game breaking glitches, just probably some little ones to be cleaned up.

Yep, but let's hope the day one patch fixes more than just minor bugs and doesn't accidentally remove some graphical effect.

Good to know, thanks. Seems to be the norm this gen.

Yeah, it makes sense though, The time between cert/pressing/shipping ect takes months so devs may as well start targeting those "KS" bugs and glitches. As long as they aren't shipping the game broken, I'm ok with it.

It's basically a month or more of extra dev time. I'm fine with it as long as the unpatched game is in a respectable state and not just sent out hoping they can fix the major issues before the public can play it.

Where were these impressions posted? Spoiler thread, I'm guessing?

Exactly. Honestly, in such a huge open world I'm expecting there is going to be more than a few glitches and bugs. It just comes with the territory. They'll probably be patching this game for years to come, may as well get a head start.

I'm not sure. I've never been to the spoiler thread, but there were some impressions in this thread and the other one (not the downgrade one). Apparently, there are some minor frame rate drops and screen tearing, but they aren't game breaking.

Has anyone streaming the PS4 version shown the menus? I would like to know if you can shut off motion blur. Some console games let you do that

if there is screen tearing hope they can fix it

Can anyone confirm if the XBO digital edition will come with the soundtrack? Haven't found anything concrete related to this.

Have any PSN/XBL games ever come with soundtracks? A cursory Google search suggests the answer is "No", in which case therein also lies your answer.

That gif is incredible! just because of gifs like this CDP shouldn't remove videos, now i have to buy this thing!
Will buy on PS4 although I have a feeling that XB1 version might be a little more stable FPS wise but with worse IQ like we've seen in DA:I, but I'm all for visuals and minor dips don't bother me too much so I'm happy.
