The Witcher 3 PS4 gameplay

Nothin' special. Coming from DA same ol' grind and lots of horse riding. Looks pretty, map itself is suprisingly huge, unique and comes to life, characters heavy detailed. Games buggy at times tho ( lakes gets this stain like/black effect ) have to reload save file to fix it. You get hammered with sub quest right from the start.. Kinna gets overwhelming.

Is that an actual manual? :O

Just picked it up in NYC. Curiously they are selling the South American version. Guy says it's the same. Just the cover is in Spanish. Anyone know if true?
Nothing to worry about. A few of my friends got Bloodborne early in NYC and they too were selling the Spanish one.

have this preordered, but that Giant Bomb gameplay video makes this look kinda boring....

I think CDPR may have overstated the whole "all of our side quests are meaningful!" argument.

My guy had this yesterday and sold out in 1 hour. These guys order hundreds of copies.

Holy shit I didn't know this shit would be so popular. I was going to pick it up today. He said to stop by on Monday.

I want to play this already.

If you mean this video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VzhZl6NihKg then I'm sorry to break it to you, but they didn't do any side quests during whole 2 hours :D They just rammed through tutorial and then prologue/tutorial zones main story parts.

Also we have heard from multiple reviews that side quests actually are interesting and engaging for most part so maybe CDPR has actually delivered.

Edit: That was rather derpy 2 hours btw, I hope QuickLook is more seriously done and looks at mechanics more etc.

Well I bought into the hype and pre-ordered it. I think the game looks great but as someone that did not like the Witcher 2's combat at all, I've been unsure if I should get it. However, I've seen enough footage by now that I feel pretty confident I'll like the combat in 3 more. I love everything else that I've seen about the game though, so I have a really good feeling I'm going to really like it. Hopefully I like the combat too though.

Been watching quite a few videos but I'm stopping now, no more. :(

Love all the Polish dirt tracks in the landscape but I'm always slightly disappointed to not see Tommi Mäkinen tearing around a corner in front of Roach and scaring the crap out of him. DLC maybe?

Wrong thread dude but it's a shame you can't do that with the horse yeah...

Geralt travel to the future? That would be interesting.

2/10 no rallying

Just had the game crash on me playing gwent in the
palace

was winning too :(

Crashed 4 times on me while playing Gwent.

Happens when I "pass my turn".

Hope they will fix it. Gwent is addictive. Loving it so far, I think it will get harder to beat higher level players in the world due to better AI and their higher card decks.

7.8/10 too much horse power and not enough horse.

The few side quests I've done so far are pretty well fleshed out and have plenty of steps and locations.

Not sure if they can keep this up of course but it's a promising start.

Anyone else who's playing not having their trophies unlock btw?

Any framerate issues?

One question for those playing...what are the saves like?

One thing that I struggle with long console RPG's is quicksaves. Is saving the game very quick and accessible, or does it take forever to navigate the annoying in-built console UI?

Saves are very quick, Options > Save Game > Choose slot. Takes less than 10 seconds total.

Are you talking about manual saves? It's pretty quick. "options", "save", "choose save". Takes about 5 seconds. You can continue after saving, no loading time.

edit: damn, lol.

I was going to wait on this game because I'm gonna incredibly busy a few days after it comes out, but until the 23rd I don't have shit to do so I think I'm just going to binge on it before I can't play video games for another month.

So good, Witcher Rally DLC confirmed.

Is anyone here who has the game early playing on 'Death March' (very hard) difficulty? I'll definitely be playing on nothing lower than 'Blood and Broken Bones' (hard), however, since there's a trophy for 'Death March', I'll probably just go for it first time. Nevertheless, I'm still intrigued to know just how hard gamers are finding it.

I have the game...started on Death March.

Go for it, it's a reasonable challenge and makes the game much funner IMHO.

Just don't feel overwhelmed with the difficulty during the first few hours. The hardest part in all Witcher games are the beginning. After you get used to the controls and the hang of the mechanics, you'll be doing much better. Every time I've started on anything lower than The hardest difficulty I've regretted it towards the end.

PS4 scared the hell out of me just now. It wouldn't boot up after being in rest mode, but I unplugged it (probably not the smartest move) and everything is fine. What was that? x.x

After I watched a Witcher trailer on PSN. Badd move.

Doesn't sound like fun. Hope they'll fix this ASAP.
