The Witcher 3 PS4 gameplay

Guys guys Xbox version will be fine. It will just have slightly lower vegetation and may have 2 3 fps difference.

Looks fantastic! Yeah, there's a bit more noticeable shadow LOD pop-in and such, but I was worried the difference from PC @ Ultra would be much more significant. One little compromise here, one there, but the overall quality looks to pretty much be up there. At half the framerate (if you have a good rig), sure, but still. I definitely won't feel bad about getting this for PS4 over PC (I'm planning on building a new one, but not until later this year). Perhaps I'll double dip if the game turns out as great as I hope.

I just hope W3 also delivers in music department to fill that beautiful looking game with some atmosphere, W1 music was superb, W2's sucked ass with nothing memorable

Percival is in so I have high hopes, they know their shit

Can't wait for the game, but why does it look like Geralt is swinging a katana during the battles? Even if the sword itself is not one, the swing animation and the way he's holding it makes it look pretty close.

In addition to the confirmed resolution difference, which may not even matter to a lot of folks.

It'll be cool though.

Super stoked to play this on PS4! My first Witcher game! I'm entirely avoiding video footage so that I go in fresh. Can someone compare how it looks to Assassin's Creed Unity? That's the game that has impressed me the most graphically and blew me away. Not in terms of something like framerate, but how it looks. Curious how good we're talking for Witcher 3.

It looks great. Not maximally polished always, but environments looks vast and varied, weather is stellar, and characters are often very realistic. While the graphics are great, the reason so many people like the world of Witcher [books and games] is unforgiving narrative in which there is rarely clear way to distinguish between good and bad. Additionally, world of W3 is filled with GOOD side quest content, so there is no Ubisoft bullshitery in terms of collecting pointless crap everywhere.

This os the first time I heard te witcher 2 music sucked ass.
I found the witcher and the witcher 2's music pretty similar in what quality refers, and by that I mean both are pretty great.
And frowm what we heard from 3 same.

Soo... downgrade confirmed?

Two different areas? One got more love and attention compared to the other. Grass placement is just that, where the artist put the grass. If it's clipping through rocks, it's because the artist put grass partially in the rock mesh. It's not a performance thing. It's a lazy thing.

It's the same area.

It's pretty sad when it gets to the point where you are nitpicking every crack and corner on the walls or every blade of grass and rock. I am sure there will be areas with some imperfections, but the game on the whole is looking outstanding. That is what I see and care about. The whole.

Hell, I could go to bed with a supermodel and I am sure that I could find an imperfection or two on her if I took a magnifying glass and a fine-toothed comb to her body. But would I do that? Hell no.

Lol, not sure if serious, but:

1. Different time of day, different lighting, crack is there in both shots but less visible in the lower.

2. Not even pointing out the same grass. The grass that's clipping through the rock does so in both shots, but is less visible in the upper shot, and the grass that's growing nicely between the rocks isn't even part of the lower shot.

3. Only valid point.

Oh my lord that's such a cool little detail. In so many games it just starts raining. In rare circumstances we get slow drizzle before heavy rain (AC4,GTAV), i've never seen a game have a storm gather in the background realistically.

In Driveclub that happens quite a lot.
There is a gif out there in which someone drives right into a low hanging cloud and the windshield goes from dry to drenched in seconds. Can't find it though.
Here some others: http://a.pomf.se/qngvum.gif

I think Driveclubs weather is still untouched, but Witcher 3s looks awesome as well.

Well if it helps you find a hidden herpe sore it will be well worth it.

Awww yeah! Looks good! My PS4 hasn't disappointed me yet!

Gameplay looks great! I really need an RPG to play. I tried Dragon Age, but it just didn't help with my craving to explore a big world. The quests seem to be more interesting as well so that's a plus.
