I was expecting intergalactic by the end of the year. If it’s beyond 2026, might as well make it a crossgen title for the PS6.
Nah. It's the same repeating pattern. There will be a release around the end of the generation that pushes the boundaries of what that generation could do. Then a cross gen update/remaster for the next. Here's hoping there is at least one more game mid-generation the next time around.

I don't get it, why would you even lie about something like that? The 4070 Ti Super is a great card, but it's not some priceless item that most PC gamers can't afford. Now if you were claiming you drive around in a Bugatti Chiron as your daily driver some proof would be nice, but in this case it's just a GPU.

No

The game was an unfinished mess across the board. Finish and polish your game rather than rushing it out
It was fine for me on PC, I think I had one crash but it looked good and played fine. The console release was awful, but that just backs up the point they should have dopped consoles initially, spent the extra time on further refining the PC version them move over to the other formats.

“It was fine” on ps5 as well, but there were still issues. It was nowhere near ideal on console or pc

I did some research at the time, if I find my sources again I'll post.

But it basically showed that TW3 sales increased in general over all platforms around the time the series debuted (per data provided by CDPR). The Switch version was just the latest and most "marketed" one.

I've definitely seen games in a worse state on release on PC though. That doesn't necessarily make it right, but it was a playable game with a few bugs and it wasn't the PC release that gave it the reputation it's got. CDPR unashamedly lead with PC development and always have been open about the fact they port from that to the consoles unlike some other devs.

There is the issue of underdelivering features though, and that they definitely deserve criticism for.

Sony pulled it down, so....

Just gonna say this(CP2077), I played it for the first time recently and it still sucks. Bad game. Nothing special at all. It is what it is. Didn't make it to the Xpak, I can't play 20 hours of a bad game to get to the good part. Witcher 3 was great.

I think the two best things about Witcher 3 were Geralt and the side quests. In this game there might as well not have even been a main character. The combat sucked donkey ass and was the worst fps I've ever played. Of all the things I say here, that is the truest. Very few people, I would image, could complain that the combat was great and I'm wrong here. This combat man....ugh. They never shoulda took it fps. This shit is also super boring. There is no stand out character. I saw every twist coming a mile away. This is not a great game. They salvaged it to an Assassins' Creed 8 from like a 3, which is commendable, but damn this is the best we got? Damn.

There are plenty of games that I know would genuinely impress anyone with their gameplay. This ain't it. If you like this game you might also like Horizon Zero Dawn and Assassin's Creed Shadows. Probably Star Wars Outlaws too. This was just a level of generic slop that I could not suffer. I know we like to pretend this was great now but I can't.

Exactly, I bought this gpu in 2024 when there was shit ton of stock and prices were below MSRP. There is nothing ubelivable here. I also use 3d marks to check system stability, overclocks and overall system performance and not to measure e-penis online. What surprised me is that I have results from 2013 and 2016!

Nice performance jump, we don't see that very often.

Clowns. After the shit launch they should be falling over themselves to get back that goodwill.

They already redeemed themselves in 2023 with Phantom Liberty and 2.0 patch.

Game has very heavy RT "non console" RT, there is no guarantee that it would even be able to run reflections on PS5 Pro. Game also already has dynamic res that maxes out resolution on PS5 Pro.

There are Sony games without pro patches...

Does it use dynamic res that at least goes up on Pro?

I think it runs 3200x1800 dynamic res with FSR2 - what is interesting is that once PS5 patch launched it was 3840x2160 with their own upscaling solution (that looked better in some ways).

Pro version should be much closer to maximum res, it looks better just by running on better GPU.

Someone already did the math here and it was a very large number. Having worse GPU than 6700 also don't disable your ability to play PS5 games, you need something better than Series S GPU to enjoy current gen games. Someone with RTX 3060 can buy new games while millions of PS4/X1 users won't be able to do that.

And what idea is that?
its not even 3060 tbh

you can even enjoy many new games with a 1070/1660/1660 super

I'm not saying it is a great experience but at least it is playable (similar to a 1080p/30 FPS PS4 game). you don't get RT GI, which is fine, but you still get to enjoy the game, seasons and physics run the same

like when you look at this, it is similar to spiderman 1 experience on PS4 (1080p 30 FPS) but you get 36+ FPS and whatever gameplay improvements the game has

so I see nothing wrong with even having a 1660 super/1070 for these games. they will be truly become obsolete when games like indiana jones and doom dark ages become more common

like this is perfectly playable,

I mean if people can enjoy games on PS4, they can enjoy them like this on a 1660 super. it was a low end GPU back in 2019.

Totally agree to this. 1660 is turning so it should perform better than 1060 in newer games.

Generation divides don't exist on PC the same way as on consoles so if someone has capable GPU from ~9 years ago that still support most features (like 1080ti) he can still play new games quite decently. At the same time 2016 and 2017 consoles (PS4 Pro, Xbox 1 X) are obsolete for post cross gen times.
