The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt - E3 2014 Trailer - The Sword Of Destiny

Rumour was that it ran at 30-45 FPS at Ultra on a 780 Ti with 8xMSAA.

If this is true... Oh my god. My 780 Ti is getting so wet right now.

I am a shameless fanboy, who's been playing The Witcher since day 1. After watching this trailer I had a tear in my eye and a big grin on my face for 2 hours. I have watched this trailer at least 30 times now and I can't stop.

GIVE IT TO ME NOW.

If it looks this insane, can you imagine what Cyberpunk 2077 will look like? It's running offt the same engine.

Holy fuck, CDPR, why do you insist on making my dreams come true.

Never stop making single player RPGs, I BEG you!

Infamous fakes a lot of stuff to look like it does, like reflections in puddles, etc. It is also no where near the scale of this and is exclusive to a single console. The new consoles so far don't have a good reputation for being very powerful, so when a game coming out from hardcore PC devs, which will bring high end PCs to their knees, I think it's acceptable to assume that the PS4(also Xbone) won't be running it at a high fps/resolution/graphics settings.

Also with all the footage seen this seems even more likely now: http://www.dsogaming.com/news/rumor...ne-gtx780-ti-pushes-35-45fps-at-max-settings/

Well, CDP better come out and clear that up.

If PS4 can't support these visuals then they should state that.

A very Hollywood-style trailer. Not much to be gleaned from that apart from it looks pretty and the main guy looks less scaly than before (which is good). I reserve judgement. Also 2015?? Do we need to be talking about this now?

No one is forcing you to talk about it now. What a downer.

There was no CGI in the trailer (except the last few seconds), everything ingame.

So is that Yennefer? I thought the grey haired woman looked like Triss, but then I see the current iteration of Triss... Then I was thinking that Yennefer was the grey haired woman.

If that's Yennefer I'm surprised, thought she was the driving force behind the third game.

8xMSAA and still getting those frames? Nice!! I'm guessing that's at 1080p yeah?

I should be good to go for this game: 780Ti, i7 4770k and 16GB RAM

The grey haired woman is Geralt and Yennefer's adopted daughter, Ciri. Yennefer is the one on the ship.

Might finally build another PC once this game's closer.

If they properly support multiple GPUs, which the Witcher 2 did, I'll be fine. You my friend, need to join the 4k resolution and leave 1080p behind. Put those Titans to work. Like I am :)

lol

Yeah, if you had Nvidia cards and not ATI :( Never making that mistake again.

I agree with you guys. I downloaded the 1080p trailer and it looked great, but nothing mindblowing. It actually reminded me of Tomb Raider: DE fidelity-wise, no idea why. The scale and draw-distances, etc., on the other hand, seem to be very impressive. But yeah, I think Second Son looks slightly better, or atleast comparable. (Ofc it's just my opinion, and I don't know shit. And we need to see some more Witcher 3 in order to say anything final.)

As a trailer it was pretty stunning, gotta admit that. Great music and it actually showed some (really nice) gameplay footage.

This game could look like the first Witcher game and I would still be excited as I am right now. I don't really get why console only folks get so butthurt when a pc-first game is a stunner. And by the way I don't think any game on PS4 will be able to run at any resolution higher than 1080p or at with a framerate higher than 30 fps. By the time The Witcher 3 comes out, and with the rig that I'm intending to buy for this game, it will smoke the PS4, and that is a fact.

Yup. But remember, they have between now and the release date to optimise this game even further.

And if those readings are correct, then all I can say is holy shit, this is how you optimise a game.

Yeah, Infamous is not pushing as much stuff on screen as Witcher 3.
Huge amounts of trees and grass eat up lots of resources, far more than buildings in a city do.

Is there any goddamn hope in the world of a GTX 760 2GB running this at 60fps at high settings with 2xMSAA?
Well, no one knows, but let me put it in this way: I have a GTX 770 and to be honst I would already be incredibly happy if it could run the game at 60fps without any AA at all.

That said, if that wasn't the case, I planned since when I bought this GPU in January that I would have been eventually ready to resell it and upgrade to something more powerful specifically to enjoy this game at its best (or as close to that point as I can afford, at least).

Dear God. Just watched the Gamersyde HQ trailer.

Holy shit.

This game looks amazing. I was one of the people who thought TW2 on PC was way overrated graphically. Bad animation, horrible dithering, small areas, etc.

This looks to rectify that and more. Absolutely stunning.

I want this.

But I don't want to start with the third game in a trilogy.

And I have no means of playing the first two.

So that's that then :\

So does nobody know anything about that guy? I don't know why I'm obsessed with him, but he seems p cool. Is he a book character or anything?

Yeah I posted about that guy on the stream thread, I was curious if he is a group protecting the sorceresses given who is there. Anyone have an idea who he is?

You don't want to run MSAA on a game with all this foliage. I'm hoping they implement SMAA. And we don't know anything about the engine yet, so although my hunch is that something like SMAA + high settings at 60 FPS is probably doable on a 760 (maybe a setting or two at medium), who knows?

They say a 780ti was doing about 30-45 FPS at 8xMSAA which is a GPU hog, and the engine is probably not at the final stage of optimization on PC yet.

Well, SMAA is not that good on movement. Probably it's fine for this game, that has a slow pace, except when you're riding.

No idea. Maybe someone employed by the emperor to watch over them and make sure they stick to the plan or something? Then a twist reveal, etc.

Or Roche/Iorveth, depending on your TW2 save? :p

Oh god I completely forgot about that. Where in the hell did I put my Witcher 2 saves?! :O

One more reason why the pc will be the best version. Hope they incorporate even more stuff from your W2 save.

I can imagine Roche, given his personality wanting his enemies to see his face. Maybe Iorveth.

I don't know why people keep insisting that developers "should be clear about differences in performances between platforms", when there is a long history proving that when they do it the very same people get incredibly angry at them.
