I'm probably gonna get a WiiU for this and Bayo 2.
I hate to sound like a sub-Pachter level troll here, but if the WiiU flops next year, it's gonna be another Dreamcast situation where people forget the weird controller and bad games and only remember the really awesome games they should have bought and played when the system still had a chance.

She says its almost impossible to get it right everytime(morphing weapons) and its confusing to what shape you want to make.
It seems to me that shes just not good at videogames..
I dont think platinum would produce a game with almost impossible gameplay mechanics.

She says: "... once you get used to it, it kind of works". So I assume once you master it, it just works, as in every Platinum games.

As people said before you know what morph you are using by the color.
If you start making a sword everything slows down and the line turns blue, so by the time you finish drawing the line it turns into a sword. Same for the gun = green, whip= pink, etc.
So if you start drawing an S and it is green then something is wrong.

Eh I'm sure they're fine. I haven't heard anyone else make that complaint. Maybe it'll be another case similar to Skyward Sword where the controls are fine but you need to be precise.

They're inability to get commercial hits has never doomed them before.
Platinum has this knack to constantly get work and make impressive games while at the same time always watching their games fail commercially.

Wonder if they're even using the touch screen. The demo was way more intuitive with that versus the right stick.
The complaint was actually that she would do the wrong unite morph and mess up a combo and that angered her. It sounded like it works most of the time for her, just not 100% from watching the video.
As a SF II player back in the SNES days, it took me a long time to where I could pull off a shoryuken every time, but maybe 5% of the time I end up doing a Hadoken instead. Obviously the supers, the spinning piledriver, etc, are a lot harder.
I think the other complaint (which the Guardian review mentioned) that it was hard to see your character at times might be more valid.
I agree that seeing the character might be an issue. I just hope with time you learn see where your character is and pick them out of the crowd.

Uh, to be honest, the issue isn't really bad games. Most games on the console are of pretty good quality, it's more the lack of games post launch.

Its almost unbearable at this point. Sales talk should be left in sales thread. Its troll behavior, imo.

Other games have come along, but I almost always buy in on a system to play 1 particular game I can't get anywhere else.
With all do respect to 'sales talk', it can be fun to talk about because its controversial. We all know the game will be great. I think rather than say "bomb", people should predict its sales and place a bet. I'm actually on the fence that thinks this wont bomb (relative to wiiU sales), especially if it can maintain a 90+ metacritic.
