Abduction came out on Tuesday:

Black Oil comes out on August 2nd:

Colonization comes out in September:

Super Soldier comes out in November:

For the complete Mythology Arc, you'll probably want to insert this between Black Oil and Colonization:

The problem I have with these sets is what if there's an ep that is mostly stand alone, but like they have a 2 minute blurb that is extremely relevent? Do they have that entire ep in there? If not, you miss out.

You mean like anyone where Mr X will pop up? I believe those are included as they add to the overall arc no matter how small.

Actually, it'd be really cool if they included Fight the Future at the end of Black Oil or at the beginning of Colonization since it was such a huge part of the Mythology.

I guess this is to get us ready for the inevitable movies?

The second movie is a stand-alone horror movie. It doesn't have anything to do with the main mythology arc since that was pretty much wrapped up and explained in the final episode.

No, it wasn't. The countdown to our extinction began. And that final episode sucked.

The whole series took a big turn to sucksville when they wrapped up the "Mulder/Sister Abduction" storyline.

Yes, but once they revealed what happened to Samantha there was still the larger part of the story that was introduced with the movie. The final episode explained that
the day the alien colonists would return was December 21st 2012, which is the same day the Mayan calendar suddenly ends.

I'm glad about this. The mythology sucked from the third season on. Once the show irrefutably stated that aliens existed, it went to pot.

Old writer's secret: You could spin an interesting narrative by making shit up as you go along, but don't expect to please people for very long.

Halfway through Abduction now and watching all the Mythology episodes in order makes everything make sense even the movie. Threads expanded upon in the movie were actually introduced early such as in the episode where
Deep Throat
dies Scully finds the alien DNA and says it is millions of years old and that's something talked about in the movie.
