I still call him By-foo-glee-en
Why don't they just play for clean sheets when they get a big lead in curling? Is that against the rules? It would have to be somehow, I'd imagine.
WTF? Byfuglien got fat?
Why is everyone talking about ski slopestyle? That was like a week (yesterday) ago!

You're right, there's a rule that makes it difficult. The first four rocks of the end (2 each side) cannot be removed from play if they're above the house (known as free guards).
Oh, hockey... meh.Dustin Byfuglien. He plays for Winnipeg. Nicknamed Big Buff. For multiple reasons.
What's the rule for ending a game early?
When any team considers it un-winable they can concede I believe. What's the rule for ending a game early?
no rule, they can resign at any time
I think I've seen a team concede 4 down going into the last end. Anything less than that I don't think I've seen it. Most curlers are realistic so you see a concede fairly often when the writing is on the wall. No sense wasting anyone's time.I think they have to play 6 ends minimum, but after that yeah

I think it's 8 ends.
EDIT: According to wikipedia, Olympic rules say they can concede at any point during a round robin game, but it has to be 8 ends in an elimination game.

Watching the men's skiing right now, it is incredibly exciting and there is absolutely no one there

Come on Netherlands. At least TRY to break away from the stereotype.

In the Netherlands, skating long distances on ice is a common practice for many, making it only natural they would have interest in distance speed skating in the Olympics. In winter months, skating is a sensible form of transportation, as commuters skate along frozen canals to visit family or friends who live many villages away. Much of the country sits below sea level, so its frequently not a particularly arduous journey to travel by skates.
Someone wrote an article about this.

A sensible form of transportation, lol
We hardly have decent ice for more then a couple of days.
Seems like Cologna's injury could have been a good thing afterall. He came into these Games completely rested compared to the others.
Fuck's sake nothing is going our way these past few days. From three in the top six downhill to no one on the podium.
Yeah that's mostly a thing of the past, we barely have any snow over here nowadays. It's more of a culture thing than a necessity now.
Well he has to fuck up pretty huge to not at least get a silver, no? I mean he's 11 points up on the Spaniard in third. The dude he's behind in 1st by all accounts skated a once in a lifetime record breaking skate in his short program. If he just has a normal skate today & Chan skates as he can, Chan should pass for gold easily I think.I feel it in my bones - gold or silver for Chan in a few hours!
