Hamelin looked like he barely broke a sweat through all those 1500m races.

I remember him being hyped up back in Vancouver 2010 and he kind of choked on a couple of events. Really glad to see him did well in his first medal event this time and barely broke a sweat.

Recreational skating for 10 rounds and then go for first in the final round.

/shorttrack

Eh, there's a lot of strategy going into placement earlier in the race and outguessing the others on when to attack etc. If anything makes it more tense. Nothing beats relay though, full-on from the start and chaotic switching

Sure, it just looks really boring.

500m speed skating coming up! EXCITE

If memory serves me correctly, he was sick with cold or flu during the last olympics.

WOOOO! Woke up to see that Hamelin won gold and Jones and Jacobs won their matches.

Now to watch some moguls before I go to work.

That was a solid run, except for that small mistake.
Edit: another good run

Edit2: good run by Alex

Now I have to leave for work.

Man, just saw Sarka Pancochova's fall during the Slopestyle finals again on TV. I'm still surprised she was okay after that. Wear your helmets, kids!

Is it also just water?

Yup... but snow falls in flakes, and man made snow is just water particles sprayed into cold air that become snow particles... so man made snow is a bit more "watery" than the "flakier" real snow... if that makes sense...
I'm guessing temps might have dipped a bit when the sun went down in Sochi too, quickly freezing the snow a bit more than they wanted, just a hunch.
