So much this. We own that sport. Plus we have a bunch of talented swimmers who manage to knock these Australians/Americans off the medal count from time to time.

But during the winter we only have this. And we have to enjoy that

And it makes sense of course, since there are no mountains and hardly any natural snow a lot of winter sports aren't normally practiced over here. You'll have to travel to at least Germany for good practice space. If your country is huge like the States you have a bit of everything.

It's a shame since it's similar to football and lots of people like the sport. Our national league is really high level too.

Commercially it's leagues behind on football. Not much money to be made for TV stations with broadcasting it. And interest in hockey rises to high levels when we play internationally but the people that are really dedicated to a club in the national league are much smaller numbers.

Well, Vos wins everything she does. Cyclocross is ridden during the winter season, often during freezing temperatures and ice, so it would fit the winter olympics. And it would increase Olympic interest in countries that don't pay that much attention to it now (mostly the Belgians)

Yeah, try not to look for the puck all the time, and just follow the play.

You'll learn to figure out who has the puck, and where it might be going next based on player position and movement.

I usually watch it during the Olympics, and finals they broadcast such as the HWL one they did. Its a lot about the corners but its not bad. Nice women too.
