I didn't really have a problem with Spider-man or Miles Morales even though there were cultural references there as well. They were just more subtle. The parts of SM2 went full retard though. Personally, I don't mind if a writer inserts some messaging in their work, even woke messaging, as long as it is done well. The preachy shit in SM2 and Veilguard are what I can't stand and I call it "juvenile woke shit" because it is as if they literally went down to some college and found some kid to write it. It's just bad.

see, i found rift apart's preachy shit to be particularly offensive because it was oftentimes specifically targeting kids, which, imo, is about as manipulative/demeaning as one can get. &, again, i feel that insomniac is quite capable of producing such miserable content all on its own, with no additional 'expert' assistance really required. as i mentioned, they'd already started down this road before sweet baby even existed...

Allot of company is abandoning twisted DEI initiative like SBI, Blackrock, etc. due to new political climate, society is fed up with force and pushing woke agenda to our throats, and common sense is back.
