Thought Emoji Movie was good. Take that as you will.
I don't see how that's a small hand joke.. it was meant to imply he had large hands.

If there some British humor I'm missing here?

Nope, two brits in the thread and we don't see it at all. I think people are seeing that she mentioned hand size and so assuming it's a joke without examine the context.

Damn, I thought you guys would be applauding her.

Is the world really this afraid of Donald Trump? Do only Americans feel comfortable making fun of him?

Is she a fucking idiot?

I'm sorry but she's the one who decided she wanted to cozy up and have a special relationship and now she's chatting shit? What a hypocrite.

Are you really freaking out this much about a joke?

Does it hurt you that the president has small hands?

Why does the president have such small hands and thin skin?

It doesnt matter whether she did it or not, we should exclaim that she did so. Trump must see it on the news.

Applaud her? She's a fucking maniac. She just randomly gets handed the role to run the country and has so far basically done nothing but talk shit about how she's going to ruin the country with Brexit since she can't be fucked to even write up any attempt at a plan and has in the meantime managed to further strip away our rights. We're almost ready to ban porn all together in the UK because of her.

Fuck Trump, but sincerely fuck this bitch too.

If anything it seemed more like a joke about Trump's supposed fear of using stairs.

How much public humiliation can one man take? It's been one embarrassing misstep after another, amazing how quickly he ended up as the butt of the joke among world leaders.

Theresa May:

And I walk steady on my feet
I talk, my crowds obey me
I stay up at night, tweet without the lights
And I do all of the things I have to
Keepin' muslims off my land
But when I think I'll be alright
I am always wrong, cause

My hands don't wanna reach around
My hands, no you cannot understand
My hands, they just shake as my sweat breaks on any handholds I find
My hands, they won't agree to hold your hands
And they don't wanna be with any hands
And they will not let me grip
No they will not let me grip

I don't think she meant anything tongue in cheek about his hand size. 'A big hand' = 'a big help'. The media made much about her being 'helped' down the stairs (even though it latterly appears Trump was the one seeking a bit of reassurance going down the steps?)

Of course I don't mind at all if Trump gets upset about this anyway.

Yeah that's my read as well.

Though in that picture of them holding hands, hers look bigger than Trump's.

Yeah, if there was a media story about her being helped down the stairs then that was what she meant.

Although if she was actually helping Trump down the stairs than it still might be some low-key needling.

This.

What the fuck are people going on about?

If anything it was a joke about having to hold his hand, or something.

...but if Trump takes it as a slight, good!

That's a shit joke though, I prefer it as a bluff, don't mention the little hands thing.

The fact it's an issue in the first place is hilarious, Trump is a fucking loon, and we are relying on his help after Brexit.

'Freaking out'? What? Because I swore? I can assure you I'm not the least bit 'freaked out.'

I'm just calling her out for being so precious about Trump and then openly - arguably, I know there's a fun debate happening - mocking him. She wont call the man out on all his dumb bullshit but she'll make stupid jokes about him.

I really don't get this part though: 'Does it hurt you that the president has small hands?' Are you even talking to me? When did I even give this impression? I'm legitimately dumbfounded that you'd even infer this.

It was a joke about the size of his hands. It was ironic. She wasn't boasting about how huge her audience was and how amazing it was to meet the President and touch his mighty hands, or how blessed she was by his magnanimous offer of assistance down a couple of steps.

Like all politicians' pre-rehearsed jokes, it doesn't really work.

Though I'm pretty sure Trump has now ordered the Trident targeting coordinates to be hardcoded to London NW1.

EDIT: I expect May is now telling Boris, "Listen, don't mention his hands. I mentioned it once, but I think I got away with it all right."
