Things in games that annoy you.

Same.

Also that beeping sound when you are low on hearts.

  • Games that make you swap characters at inopportune times so all that fancy gear you've obtained can't be used (i.e. AC Origins)
  • Car chase sequences in open world games.
  • Any form of "card battling"
  • Unnecessarily long checkpoints.
  • Overtly long narrative elements.
  • Ham-fisted storytelling.
  • Quick-time events

I think that's a little unreasonable.
There are a multitude of aspects to consider when implementing a third person camera; level design, collision detection, asset quality, not to mention the intricacies of the control scheme. There's a reason most devs focus on one or the other.
It's not like a tick box they're leaving unchecked.
fair enough, this is a me thing tho, i have motion sickness issues and can't play first person games anymore because i get physically sick, i've accepted not being able to play most shooters anymore but it's unfair imo not being able to play rpg and open worlds games because the majority of them were third person in the past, i guess i'm a bit salty because i get to play less and less games each year with how many high profile games going first person only, i would have loved to play outer worlds for example but the developers just didn't put it in, same thing is going to happen with cyberpunk.

Carry item x for x distance because an NPC just can't seem to do it for some reason.

Follow character x very very slowly to a destination while they explain story details. Once and a while is OK. Ubisoft uses this far too often.

When it is so dark you can't see anything as you move about. Sometimes it gets me confused to where I am environmentally and makes me nauseous. I also don't like how some games seem to linger on more than they have to, like I am playing kingdom hearts and it keeps going on in the end with more and more final bosses and final areas when I just expect it to end (not to be mean).

Any time a tutorial prompt stops you from being able to play. Far Cry games do it all the time with whole screen prompts that come up and you have to press a button to continue. If I am confused about how something works let me look at a help section in the pause menu, but don't stop me from going to my first outpost to tell me I can do so stealthily or not and that I can throw rocks to distract guards etc. Games are afraid to let people learn anything through trial and error anymore...

I really cannot stand the "wanted" level mechanic in games like GTA or RDR.
1000% Agreed! one of the main reasons why they're so annoying is because they constantly rely on unrealistic bs to make it happen. Like how can train engineers communicate with law enforcement telepathically in Red Dead 2?? Or why do helicopters spawn out of thin air in front of you when your about to lose them? Its also frustrating when your about to lose cops on the ground and then lo and behold, another unit spawns right in front of you out of thin fucking air! Annoying!!!

Absolutely agree. I loved GTA V, but the cops just ruined the fun.
I remember spending 5 minutes to get on mount chilliad where I killed the only person on the mountain. 1 second later, guess what. Two cop cars reaching the mountain top.

I like the challenge of losing cops but at some point it became a chore which made me lose interest to cause some mayhem.

Yeah it gets infuriating after a while just for the sake of pro longing the gameplay. I wish that would overhaul this system completely...

To answer OP's question:

-Enemy A.I. with high amounts of aimbot. They can hit you with perfect accuracy everytime and can shoot at angles that you can't. GTA online has this problem in spades and its stupid af!!

-Crappy stealth mechanics where you're either invisible or everybody knows where you are. There is no in between and it sucks. Ex. Gta online again. Hell you cant even crouch low in that game.

-Rubberband A.I. that'll pass you at the last minute to win a hard race. Ex. Any older Need for Speed game and Mario Kart Game.
