The PSP is getting great support, im interested in many of its future titles. But i cant help but want to play these games with a Dual shock controller on my home theater setup.

Think sony will release a "PSP Player" for ps2/3?

Would also allow us to watch UMD movies on TV.

If this happens i would probably buy the player instead of the PSP itself.

I've been thinking about this too.

We may see a UMD drive built in the PSP. Then Sony can sell software to play PSP games. Heck, the PSP and PS2 aren't that far apart, right? If the PS3 is going to be compatible with PS2 and PSone software I wouldn't see any reason why it couldn't support PSP software as long as it has a UMD drive.

I think the PS3 will run all the PSP games as well.

Surely the games would look hideous on a TV....Blown up 3D is a lot less flattering than its 2D counterpart.
Only if you blew it up to full width. Otherwise leaving one pixel to be one pixel I believe it would take up the same screen width as GBA games do on the GB Player, with about 85% of the height.

Nah, I think they'll just announce some adaptor to hook up your PSP to the PS3 :P
Hmmm. UMD reader > USB 2 > PS3. Could work. And it falls in line with 'Were Sony and we want our hardware to fail as soon as possible'.
