This is the fourth generation in a row Sony is trying to sell pressure sensitive buttons

Since ps2 and no one has ever cared about this function in PlayStation games. Now because of one viral ad campaign for Black Ops it's the most mind blowing thing.

Well gaming media and people who have had hands-on with Dual Sense are singing the praises of the Dual Sense.

And that small clip you posted looks amazing at how the triggers are responding to the gun fire. I can't wait to pick up a PS5.

Uh no. The triggers have been pressure sensitive since the PS2 (although they were not actual triggers back then), while the face buttons have NOT been since the PS3 (how many games actually used that feature?).

Variable trigger tension is in no way the same thing.

This is probably the least intelligent thing I've read on the internet today. Considering I have the Next-Gen speculation thread open in another tab, that's really quite something, OP.

I'm a pc user who has been enjoying a DS4 for ages and been looking forward to the DS5/DualSense since it was announced. The fact that I won't be able to use the haptic trigger is a huge blow to my excitement. You may not care about that stuff (there are people who turn off the vibration in every game they play) but many of us do and this looks to be a genuinely cool and interesting aspect to the controller that can affect gameplay in a natural way.

4th generation in a row? PS4 didn't have pressure sensitive buttons, and neither does PS5 from what I can tell. And triggers are not buttons, so I'm really not sure what point you are trying to make here. Triggers with pressure sensitivity are a gimmick? So being able to adjust your acceleration in games that involve driving is gimmicky now?

I think SONY had the same controller since the PSOne, their motivation has always been improve the little things while Nintendo and Microsoft lose their original focus.

?.

I've owned every iteration of the DualShock. None of them have done what is shown in the video that you posted.

To be fair I do agree controller gimmicks tend to be overhyped early on. But this is still a new feature they haven't had before and I'm looking forward to trying it out

You are wrong OP, PS4 didn't have analog face button.
Also, analogue buttons were always cool although finicky.
And, adaptive triggers are not analogue now, they were already analogue the new thing it's force feedback.

So to sum it up, you are kinda trippin'

OP is either an idiot or a troll.

All analog triggers are pressure sensitive.
Resistive Feedback is something completely new.

Still not sold on this, and the more advertising i see the more skeptical i grow its just an oversold feature.

Like yeah, its cool, but i don't see it as a game changer like some are trying to push it as

Honestly the more I see the triggers the more I like them, but cod was not the
Game to advertise it. Everyone who has this shit turned off is gonna kill you.

The triggers have been pressure sensitive since Dreamcast. The Dualsense triggers add dinamic resistance and can fight back the pressure you apply.

Wait till you try it man, wait until you try it. Even an early example like dirt 5, I can feel in muddy corners the triggers kicking back like I can feel each wheel struggling to keep traction and its great. I can't wait to see how GT approaches the controller. Also, the speaker is quite good too, when watching a few trophy vids it saved I could hear myself talking to my girl clearly. I'm not one of those guys to turn of rumble, I love it since I first felt it. And the real pressure sensitive buttons from back in the day were a neat idea too. Perhaps a bit too early but I'd say their persistence paid off. Gyro, speaker, touchpad, haptic feedback and triggers, its all there and better than ever.

Is OP mad about marketing and reviews? I'm confused. Pressure sensitive buttons went away on PS2.

What you talking bout?

Sincerely,
Kojima

Can't believe someone made a thread saying the Digital addition of the PS5 isn't a PS5...😂😂. This thread is equally as stupid Sony is just trying to innovate.
