That's what I did on PS4. I really didn't miss anything. Played Wii U and 3DS for that whole time.
Really all I even wanted for 2 years was inFamous and Ground Zeroes. There was nothing. I'm pretty much expecting something similar here. Especially with COVID delaying things even further.
And after awhile they'll probably put out another color.

I have a decent enough PC with a GTX 1070 but I also like consoles...
The problem here is that consoles generally dictate the middle ground of how things will look, and I gotta say, I'm not impressed.
The only great reveal was Demon's Souls remake, all the other games look like they could easily run on a PS4.
I guess that means my PC will keep running things for longer, but still... I'm disappointed

Similar boat. I bought the Arkham Knight bundle along with Bloodborne and shortly thereafter Witcher 3. Those three were my intro to this gen.
I have a hunch that PS4 (due to Switch's presence) will have a very long lifespan, at least as far as mid-range and indie games are concerned. Switch will keep PS4 alive and vice versa for the next 5 years straight, I wager. The point is that I'm in no hurry to get pS5. Looks cool. I hope every Day One buyer for either system feels thrilled and fully satisfied. I'm sitting on the sidelines, engrossed in the systems I own.

I’m glad I bought a PS4 this year, I have easily 3 years worth of games. I’ll get a PS5 when it gets a solid lineup.

I think we need innovation on how to interact with games but not necessarily through gimmicky controllers...
Maybe stuff like Neuralink is the way to go and will allow completely new experiences... we've been basically playing the same things over and over for 20 years now...
