This has to be the most ridiculous quote:

"Look, I fully understand some in Washington say, I wish he hadn't brought it up. You know, how come he's making us do this?

And the answer is, because those of us have been elected have a duty, have an obligation to solve problems. And I would tell people when I campaign, I'd say, "Elect me. I will confront problems and not pass them on to future presidents." Which is sometimes the tendency in the political world, just kind of shuffle it along.

Well, it's not going to be the case for the Bush administration." (talking about Social Security)

Great, they have video, too.

Gonna get me some o' that sweet, sweet fair and balanced hotness.

NEIL CAVUTO, HOST: Mr. President, welcome to FOX. It's great to have you.

GEORGE W. BUSH, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES: Thank you, Neil.

CAVUTO: We were thinking of you, Mr. President, we knew you had won the election and now we have heard that you had better grades than your opponent too in college.

(LAUGHTER)

CAVUTO: What did you think with the release of those transcripts?

BUSH: I didn't think much about it. You know, I've always tried to lower expectations, and I feel like if people say, well, you know, maybe, you know, I don't think you handle the tough job, and when you do, it impresses people even more. But my view is the campaign is over.

CAVUTO: Yes. He was billed as the intellectual, though, and you had better grades in college.
Right off the bat. :lol

I don't think he was billed as the intellectual because of his grades in college, but because of how comparitively articulate he was. But nevermind that, eh.

....

We have the same fucking motto! DON'T FUCKING TRY AND PEOPLE WILL COME TO LOWER THEIR EXPECTATIONS TO THE POINT WHERE JUST BREATHING WILL MAKE THEM HAPPY. U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A! 4 MORE YEARS.

I read most of that interview. It confirms my feeling that underneath all the grammatical errors, he knows what's up. That doesn't mean you can trust a word he says, of course.

OH.

Is he actively trying to piss of people with half a brain now? It really seems that way.

Its going to be a LONG 3.5 years for some of you.
It's not as bad as I have imagined. Somehow, it's more fun pointing out the administration's wrongdoings and hypocrisy than defending Clinton from a dozen attacks because of things I've never heard of.

And the Iraq war is what exactly? A little present? Our environment? Energy problems? Our deficit? Human rights issues? Border security? Nope, not problems. All little presents.

He creates problems and shuffles them onto other presidents. I feel for the next two-three presidents who are going to have clean up this administration's mess.

Hard work, indeed.

Yup, and then of course all the idiots will look at those President's and be all "Man, Bush wasn't as bad as this". It's a good way to cement a faux legacy, actually.

I just wish that John Stewart would be able to interview the president. THAT would be an interview worth seeing, not some Fox news cronie lobbing slow balls.

I was actually surprised by how serious the tone of his Colin Powell interview was. I thought I was watching a different show entirely. If that's what we'd get from a Bush interview, why bother :)

Speaking of Fox and bullshit, check this out:

http://www.crooksandliars.com/2005/06/09.html#a3367

Al Franken catches O'Reilly and co. blatantly editing an interview of Biden w/Stephanopoulus to make him look bad, and then proceeding to effectively take credit for his suggestions about Guatanamo, which Biden introduced legislation to address from back in January. It's not surprising, but still pretty foul to watch.

Wow, Franken is a real sleaze. From watching that clip you linked to, O'Reily's commission recommendation was for an investigation into just the way we treat detainees in general, while Biden was suggesting the complete shut down of operations at Guantanamo (And releasing many people, and moving the more dangerous suspects elsewhere). I don't watch either of their shows with any regularity, but Al comes off as the really dishonest person to me.
