No, that's awful actually. It's a scene on the top of the staircase between the two priests. It's actually not completely removed from the theatrical cut, it's just edited so the conversation is gone, you still see the shot of them sitting there browbeaten. But the DC has that conversation in it, and it's the highlight of the movie for me. But I don't want to over sell it, it's not going to blow your mind or anything, it's just very very good and a completely baffling removal.

Is there a thread similar to the "games you remember, names you don't" one, but for movies? I've been trying to find you the name of a movie I caught a long time ago on TV and it seemed awesome but can't find it anywhere based on the description.

In case we don't have such a thread, I'll post what I remember from the movie here:

1. The movie is animated, but seemed more hand drawn than computer animation (or so I remember). It was very red and gray (and maybe a bit brown).
2. It's not a recent movie, I think I saw it at least 3-4 years ago, and since that was on TV (maybe cinemax?) it's probably a bit older than that.
3. The main character in the movie is a girl which is trapped in a decaying world. Pretty much all the time it's accompanied by an animal which talks to her (I'm thinking it's a frog, but I'm not sure).
4. Parts of the world are being consumed (destroyed?).
5. There's a queen (the girls mother, I think? not sure) and she (the queen) wants the girl because there's something in her memory (I think) and she tricks the animal into taking the girl to her but then the animal helps the girl flee.

I'm trying to think of a way to describe the style of the movie (the graphical style, that is), but I'm not quite sure how. It looked a bit like "The Scream", the painting.

Alternatively, is there a place were I can see a list of animated movies so that I can search for it there using keywords, years, etc?
 
I send Facebook requests. They get "Accepted" but I don't get the confirmation back. But I can see the person's status updates but I can't comment. What's the deal?

Did you try and set your hotkeys within winamp?

If not.. Right click on winamp > Options > Preferences > Global Hotkeys > set any hotkey for anything you want :)
 
A friend of mine received a hateful and threatening message on facebook, through an account with a fake name. Is there any way for her to find any information on the person even though the account isn't using their real name either through her own means or through facebook?

This hypothesis kinda makes more sense too me.
I think it's related to how our brain works, like that you remember negative every-day experiences easier/more prominent (stuff like "I ALWAYS have to wait in the longest line" etc.).

Why can't you 'Find all your posts'? And does anyone have an alternate way to search what you posted instead of that Google Custome Search bar? I'm tired of having to bookmark the threads I post in.

Some angry people are replying to you, I don't know why someone would yell because of these questions. :lol

The "find more posts by X" is tied to the search feature which is currently not available for normal use in the forums because it was sucking too much bandwidth (I think that was the reason).

As for threads you posted in, you can always use the subscription feature from the control panel and go from there. I have it set to automatically subscribe to any threads I post in, you can do the same under "Default Thread Subscription Mode" in the options menu and select "no e-mail notification" instead of "do not subscribe" (or choose another option to receive e-mails when the thread get new replies if you want). This way you have access to a list of all the threads you posted in without having to resort to external bookmarking and then it's easier to find your own posts in those threads if you need them.

They don't get accepted. If you click their name it will still say "Awaiting friend confirmation." You can see their stuff due to their privacy settings

You haven't actually been accepted yet. Facebook sends you updates from people who've you've sent requests to but haven't accepted you yet.
Edit: looks like I was beaten already... don't know how I missed that...

I don't think they expire, definitely not in a matter of days. When I go to to the last page of the "List Subscriptions" section I have threads dating back to February 2008 (when I started using the feature).

I got kicked out of a club/pub last night for ordering drinks...yep, so is it wise if i went back there today and made a complaint?


Story for those who want to know:

I was at the bar for ages and asked the manager(never knew it was at the time) if i'm next she nodded.
Another barmaid came over, i asked for a carling and vodka and lemonade, she said there's no carling i ask for any other beer..she got all moody and said which one and pointed to the taps. From my angle i couldn't see what was on the taps so i said again "any one"...next minute bouncer is taking me outside. I asked him what did i do he said i don't know but the manager wants you out. My friend went back in to speak to the manager and all she said i was rude.

No because no one there will give a shit and the manager that kicked you out will get even more angry and really focus on you. Best to just not go back in to that bar for awhile and hope they forget you the next time you go back in.
 
Anyone have any ideas on how to improve posture? It seems like I'm always slightly slouching, my shoulders are bent front a little instead of being aligned with the rest of my back. Also I always seem to stick my head forward a little, probably as a result of years of computer use. When I try to stand up straighter it seems like my ribs stick out farther than they should, so I'm not sure what's up with that.

Basically if anyone has any suggestions on exercises or something to improve posture, it would be greatly appreciated. PS: I don't think it's weight-related, as my weight is pretty average, I think (~148 lb?).

As corny as it sounds, sit up straight. When I slouched I put my office and car chairs upright. When I stood, I stood like a butler. Now it's become pretty natural and I don't think about it. After you could a couple of compliments you pretty much stay with it.
 
Is there a way to see where last.fm gets its library data from? The idiot who stole my ipod is updating my last.fm library and I'm trying to figure out a bit more details.
