I played and enjoyed Fatal Frame II a while back, and now I'm looking to return to the series for a nice scare. Which would be a better purchase: Fatal Frame or Fatal Frame III? I found a pretty good deal on a sealed copy of three, but I'm still deciding.

Myself and a friend in Canada are having an issue with MSN lately: it will appear fine on my end, but flip-flop between showing one of us as online and offline even though we're connected all along. Also, a lot of the messages we send aren't going through. This is really frustrating... The only thing I've found was a comment on Yahoo Answers that "router settings need to be changed," but that's vague enough that I don't know what actually needs to be done. Can anyone assist here?

Why is the light on a copier green (the light that goes under the paper)?

Why not blue or purple or plain old white light?

What about green light makes it the "copier light"

Fatal Frame 1. The third one isn't terrible by all means, but I'd compare it with SH4. It's a fairly decent game on it's own right, but it pales in comparison to it's previous iterations. Get both if you can, but if it's between one or the other, get the first game.

Exposure to ultraviolet light is a concern. In the early days of photocopiers, the sensitizing light source was filtered green to match the optimal sensitivity of the photoconductive surface. This filtering conveniently removed all ultraviolet. Currently, a variety of light sources are used. As glass transmits ultraviolet rays between 325 and 400 nanometers, copiers with ultraviolet-producing lights such as fluorescent, tungsten halogen, or xenon flash, expose documents to some ultraviolet.

My office copier has a white light. Most modern copiers are white now.

Alright, I'm back with more ridiculous homework.

This is a Physics 12 Bonus question.

"A 750kg car on a flat dry road can negotiate a circular curve of radius 25m at a maximum speed of 85km/h. Any faster and the car will skid. An engineer wishes to "back" the curve at such an angle to increase the maximum speed before skidding to 110km/h.

Determine the minimum angle (B) that would allow for this new speed"

I don't know where to start with this question. I'm assuming it would be something involving the changing normal force and the angle rises? Would appreciate help, if you're bored and feel like some physics-ing.

Also, when will i become a real member? i have 300 posts....

-age

(Latin: a suffix; quality of, act of, process, function, condition, or place; forms nouns that denote an action; a product of an action; a place, an abode)
Gaming-age = of or related to gaming; a product of gaming.

I was going to ask what those white oval bumper stickers with black letters and borders were about, but found all I needed to know on the first page of my Google search. They were mostly OBX stickers when I first started seeing them, but now every other high school lacrosse team has one.

The oval bumper sticker, with one or two black letters on a white background, originated in Europe. It was officially used to help identify a car's country of origin when traveling from country to country in western Europe. The original letters like GB for Great Britain, F for France, D for Germany (aka Deutschland, thus D) and so on, have been expanded to include all of the countries of eastern Europe and some other countries around the world. There have been some changes to the abbreviations for some of the EU countries. France and Spain (among others) for instance have been changed from one letter to two letters. There has been some discussion among our customers as to which is "correct". We have decided to offer F (France) and E (Spain) for those who prefer the classic, and FR and ES for those who prefer the contemporary.
In the U.S. there is no official requirement for these types of stickers. So instead, in true American style, we have adapted them for our own personal tongue-in-cheek statements.

Huh. I never thought of it as a suffix. I always thought of it as the Gaming Age, sort of like the Bronze Age or the Stone Age.

Do animals cry due to emotion?

Sometimes I think so, like maybe the neighbor's dog is just lonely when it howls for like 10 minutes out of nowhere. Then it stops, and I can hear an ambulance siren in the distance and think, "that retard thinks there's another dog over there."

Stupid, but serious question:

You know when you buy a bag of oranges, or clementines, every single piece can taste different? Sometimes a little bit, sometimes a lot (to the point when you think "there's something wrong" just because the one you ate just before it tasted so differently :)).

Well, how is it possible for fruit juice makers (like Coca Cola's Minute Maid) to make their fruit juice taste the same with every box, in every season, of every year? Especially when it explicitly says on the box "100% juice", which makes it impossible for all sorts of other ingredients to adjust flavor.

How do you know that they taste exactly the same without comparing multiple years at the same time? Of course that wouldn't prove anything either since the contents of aged differently.

There was a skit show I saw ages ago where police were interrogating someone who was obviously innocent for a crime. The detective kept turning on the recorder on and off which made the guys statements implicate him for the crime. It was hilarious, but I can't remember what it was from. Maybe Mr. Show with David Cross? Does anyone remember that episode #?

What should you do if one of your good friend's friend talks a lot of shit about them in front of you? Do you tell the friend whom you are more loyal to or do you ignore it? Does it matter what it is they are saying or do the same rules apply regardless of whether it's positive or negative? Mind your own fucking business? Do tell.

This is an odd question that maybe someone here might know. i had a dream the other night about this poster that always used to post "ZZZZzzzzZZzzzzzz" for any Xbox news that came out. This was before the first Xbox launch and he usually posted on msxbox (it was before msxbox and Teamxbox merged). Anyone remember this poster or the nickname they used? Its really been bugging me since i had the dream :lol

Don't say anything. Why? Because the same thing is happening between your friends when you are not around. People always talk about the one person that isn't there, and any time you don't go out with your friends, guess who they talk about? It's not paranoia or a lie, but it's just how it works. It's not always negative, but you will be the topic of discussion if you are not there, because someone will say 'Oh, B!TCH didn't come to see New Moon with us... s/he was busy at work...' and then it will go on positively or negatively from there, depending on who is doing the talking.

Don't feel obligated to tell said friend anything cause he hasn't told you.

Why are there hardly any bald Mexicans?

Sometimes I like to search through the Mexican neighborhood near me for a new taco joint, which I did tonight. It was in a pretty busy area and I notice there were no bald people. I though about it and realized that I can’t recall the last time I saw someone of Mexican descent who was balding.

Okay, now this will blow your mind. How do humans who can't speak (like a deaf-mute or someone) think in their heads?

Really? I know a lot of them that are bald. I guess it depends on the area you're in.

Excellent podcast. Temple Grandin on her book, 'Animals Make Us Human'.

Diagnosed with autism as a child, Temple Grandin, who studied psychology and earned a Ph.D. in Animal Science, has become a philosophical leader of both the animal welfare and autism advocacy movements. A passionate voice for the humane treatment of animals, her professional and popular writing and research on animal behavior has revolutionized the treatment of farm animals. Now, with Animals Make Us Human, Dr. Grandin challenges assumptions about animal contentment and shows humans how to give their animal companions the best and happiest life on their terms, not ours.

Any solid ways to solve number series questions?

Normally, I'd be ok with increasing numbers, but when they throw shit with increasing numbers, and then throw in a smaller number, only to go back up, it confuses the hell out of me. I don't think there were any times where I was taught how to solve them. Just general math, which I'm also weak at now :(

I'm not going to solve the problem, but I'll help outline the approach you should take. ;)

In the first case, with the flat road, you have a car moving in a circular path due solely to centripedal force. The force is solely supplied by static friction. (Side note: Why static and not kinetic? The car is not sliding through the turn. If the car starts to skid, that means that the tires have exceeded the maximum static frictional force and now kinetic friction applies.) So, based on the geometry of the situation, you should be able to derive what you need from a few basic equations:

1) Based on the mass of the car, the radius of the turn, and the speed around the turn, you should be able to calculate the centripedal force.
2) Since static friction is based on the normal force and the coefficient of static friction, you should be able to calculate that coefficient given the centripedal force.

OK, great...now that we have that coefficient, we're set for the second part. Why does a banked turn help a car maintain a greater speed? In the flat case, the only centipedal force is applied because of static friction. However, in a banked turn, there are two forces which help with the turn: static friction, and the component of the normal force which points towards the center of the turn.

The key to this part of the problem will be to draw the vector decomposition diagram in the right way. In order for the car to move through the turn, you have to balance the forces along each axis. To maintain circular motion at the new speed, you have to sum the force components in the centripedal direction from static friction and the normal force. Along the ramp, though, you also have to balance some forces since the component of static friction along the ramp must be enough to keep the car from slipping down the ramp under its own weight. The force components in each direction will be a function of the bank angle, but since you solved part 1 of the problem, you should know all of the other values. Solve for the bank angle, and you're in business.

Hope this helps...

Is there anyone familiar with Chinese culture? I went on a second date with a girl (who studies sinology) and she gave me this little plastic ladybug in an envelope. she was talking about its symbolic meaning in China, but I didn't remember exactly what she said because I was so surprised and tbh, a little moved. Didn't expect to get something so sweet. I guess what I want to know if it was just a little gift (good luck charm) or did she mean more by it.
